I like the idea of Mahomes not running for his life on every play.
Question: Does Lamar Jackson get sacked much? Sportscenter was saying how Brown never allows sacks, which is great, but how much of that is Jackson avoiding sacks because he is freaky fast?

Chiefs make a trade for Orlando Brown, Jr.
I'm shocked the Ravens got so much for him.
I expect a steep decline for Baltimore. I'm often wrong, but I think they've made mistakes with their roster for 3 consecutive years, now.
Oh the Ravens are fucked.
I'm shocked you think they got a lot for him. Around KC they're sending thank you baskets to Baltimore for giving us the Patrick Price on that trade.
It's a lot when you consider he'd demanded a trade and was allowed to seek out his spot. Not that KC gave up a Tunsil ransom, but there are only so many Bill O'Briens in the world.

I didn't know Baltimore had a passing game!
Baltimore was dead last in pass attempts last season. KC was 3rd (200+ attempts ahead). And Baltimore still gave up more sacks (32 to KC's 24).

Running QBs typically get sacked more often on average IIRC, because of their propensity to extend plays. Not sure about Jackson's individual numbers.
Without looking at stats and tape, I am guessing that:
Baltimore runs more than anyone with designed keepers. Jackson doesn't extend plays to throw. He's going to get sacked more if he does extend plays to find an open guy. KC will see little change in their sack rate this season because Mahomes has so many options and runs opportunistically, not by design.

The KC/Baltimore trade is really peculiar from the Baltimore standpoint. KC is one of the teams they’ll need to beat in the playoffs for the next five years to get to the super bowl. Why make them better?

Especially since Chicago was also in play. Maybe it has something to do with Harbaugh's relationship with Reid?
But I'm blown away that the deal for done mostly because of the reason you point out. It's wild. No matter how unhappy the player is.
