Funk: Well, that's another turnover by Mr. Ayton

Ayton finishes 28 and 19 and Funk still could not help himself.

MD please change thread title to include favorite announcer stuff so I can talk about Kevin Colabro.

When they replaced the long-time local guys a couple years ago with Colabro & whoever, I wasn't happy with the change. It really smacked of the classic Paul Allen, Seattle-Portland/Big Brother-Little Brother stuff that we've dealt with ever since he bought the team. But KC has really won me over & I recognize his greatness now. At times he tries to hard to be cool, but overall is really great at calling the action. Also his homerism (which is an important feature of any local broadcaster but usually goes way too far) is just veiled/measured enough that you can still respect him. Sorry again to Sonics fan for not having a team.

*Funny moment on the broadcast tonight, they had the local guy who got shitcanned so they could bring KC in on for a courtside interview. He appears to have been smart enough to not burn the bridge after being shoved aside. LOL media bros.

I was waiting for MD to change the thread title but it may never happen:

If you have never heard Kevin Colabro’s “The Shocker” call describing a Brent Barry 3-pointer, do yourself a favor and look it up. Amazing he made that call on live air.

Spoiler: show
TWO IN THE CAKE, ONE IN THE PUDDING

I'd kill to have Colabro on the Bulls tv broadcasts. Funk is done after this season. I'm sure they will promote from within, it's the bulls way. The White Sox guy has filled in on a few of Funks load management nights and actually isn't awful and Chuck Schwiersky is good on the radio and has probably paid enough dues for a tv slot by now (and at this stage is far more talented than Funk).

It took ten days, but that answer was worth it.
