The board's server will undergo upgrade maintenance tonight, Nov 5, 2014, beginning approximately around 10 PM ET. Prepare for some possible down time during this process.

Interesting that the California State University system has just announced they will be going online only for the fall. This only effects three football schools and none at the big boy level but you know there's going to be others that do the same.

UCLA? Cal (Berkeley)?
It is the Cal State system going online. Aren't those two you listed in the University of California program, which is different? Think of Washington v. Washington St., bammer. You got this.

Correct. Cal St Fullerton, Fresno St and San Diego St are part of the California State University system; Cal (Berkeley, UCLA) are part of the University of California system. Stanford & USC are separate but part of the Pac 12, which is one of the big five conferences. All this in just one state but it does show the patchwork of organizations for college football (and other college sports) to work in the coming academic year.

Ruddo, per our Zoom chat. I didn’t read the whole thing but this sounds like what I was saying.
If you have season tickets (let’s say that costs you $800) and tickets to 8 home games, but were only allowed to attend 1, how much would you pay for that ticket?

Ohio St AD Gene Smith speculating playing in front of fans:
“We haven’t nailed that down, but we have played a little bit with the social-distancing concept,” Smith said in a conference call. “We know that probably would take us down south of 30,000 fans in the stands — actually closer to (20,000-22,000). We’ve played with that framework to start as we move forward and think about what we ultimately will be allowed to do.”

In comparison to the Ohio St AD's comments Georgia's AD Greg? McGarity has said he is still planning on playing a full season in full stadiums. I don't know how much of that he said just for the fans; I'm sure there alternate plans in the work.

As off season, non mandatory ( ) conditioning starts in a few states Alabama, Auburn, Oklahoma St, and Arkansas St have all reported positive tests among some student athletes. Not a good sign for a "normal" season.
Some of these infection outbreaks teams are dealing with make me wonder if they are just trying to get it out of the way on purpose so they don't miss games.

Waaaayyyyyyyy more people have Covid than we know about. Most of them - including division one college football players in their peak athletic prime - are just fine.

Probably not. But my point stands. CFB studs are undefeated against covid.
