The board's server will undergo upgrade maintenance tonight, Nov 5, 2014, beginning approximately around 10 PM ET. Prepare for some possible down time during this process.
bout time, though I do think the season should be shortened to ten games to save the beating on their bodies. or just pay them if you're going to have them play 13 conf/non-conf games before the playoffs.

How we feeling about this proposed 12 team playoff?
This should have happened decades ago.
12 is such a weird number. I was hoping for an 8 team model, but this makes a lot of sense too. Opens the doors for a random Iowa State or Wisconsin to make it in and win a game or too.

I like 8 better but I kind of get it. They’ll expand even larger in a few years. They ruined the bowl season letting everyone go to a bowl. This sort of keeps the value in the regular season because a loss doesn’t automatically leave you out. So perhaps we get better in season games and perhaps not. The thing is how do you even pretend that they are amateurs at this point?
Is it better for the sport and athletic departments? Sure. The players? No.
College Basketball is irreparably broken forever until they get rid of the 1 and done rule. They need the baseball model. Unless they actually let these guys market themselves anyway and that might keep them in school longer. College Football is ok, as the NFL minor leagues, but regardless of scholarships and total cost of attendance and everything else, more games mean more injuries, lifelong injuries, and the guys actually competing get zero say in this.

I am okay with how MLB & NHL handle college prospects. It's not perfect, but I find it better than NCAA basketball & football.
