my wife, who is not a huge sports fan, looked at the tv during his post game interview, and said, I don’t like the looks of that guy. Something seems wrong with him…evil.

now we wait…

i mean, maybe. so much in CFB is prestige, based on past accomplishments and the inner workings behind those accomplishments.

Weird comment to make immediately after the CFP brings in an AAC team and they get absolutely fucking demolished while the Big 10 champ eats shit again. There's obviously bias towards power five conferences, towards the SEC in particular, and towards schools like Alabama such that success begets (at least more opportunities for) success, but it's hard to make a case that anyone else should be there after yesterday's results.

Are you agreeing or disagreeing with me?

I'm saying I think Georgia and Alabama more or less earned it, and the always present "maybe" factor in a four team subjectively ranked playoff is more reduced than in previous years.

I’m watching. I have friends there that keep texting me pictures of Utah fans (I have no idea why). it’s getting annoying.

are they unattractive?

I wouldn’t necessarily call them head turners, that’s for sure.

Tell you what, man, those coeds from states like Texas and Mississippi … yeah.

So every player is a free agent every season now. Cool.

I don’t like rematches in college to decide a playoff or championship game but as a Georgia native it worked out this year.
But a bigger complaint is why is the title game played on a Monday? That’s dumber than Super Bowl Sunday.
And to answer an earlier post of mine yes, the championship site is now bid on like a Super Bowl. The next two are in Miami/Ft Lauderdale and Las Vegas.

NFL owns Sunday nights and Saturday was too quick of a turnaround. Monday is a great ratings night, too.

It's intentional. No more MNF at this point in the pro season but people are conditioned to watch football on Monday night.

the semi-finals outdrew the national championship game last year.

The problem I have with the game is that it’s so far removed from the other bowl games it seems like an afterthought. it’s hard to get excited for it.

And I agree - the Monday night thing sucks.

Two games were on a holiday with more fanbases involved. That's not a surprising number.

a Monday night game on Espn that hits halftime at 10:30 on the east coast is not a good recipe for high viewership. it should be tonight.

Saturday evening yes that would be better. Agreed.

There are no good reasons why the championship game isn’t being played tonight.

Too quick? Feels like forever ago Michigan got beat by like a million points.

Anything good on tonight?
Honestly I am not as excited about the game I thought I would be. It almost has a regular season feel. We’ll see if that has changed by kickoff.

I have a feeling it is going to be a really good game. It's been sort of the year of the underdog, so it would neat if Georgia can finally win.

What I am most looking forward to from this tonight is that the first trailer for the Bob's Burgers movie will be shown.
