elam will be there, b/c houston won't be picking a safety.

Is Houston probably going WR ?
Andre Johnson would like some help.

Do we have agreement on Vaccaro to Green Bay? I'd love for Spike to way in.

Im good with it, but also good with seeing if spike is here tomorrow to give an opinion

Yeah, let's give him 24 hours to weigh in. I'd love his thoughts. If he doesn't post, I say go with Vaccaro.
cool with me.

anybody want to prep for Houston and then GH can have the Broncos to himself. I'll take the Pats pick, Electro will surely have the Falcons selection. dkfan will cover the 9ers and we'll all just agree that balt'more will get BPA.

IMO Green Bay will almost certainly go DT/DE unless there's a huge run on the best of those players. They're not the type of team to pick a safety in the first round. Morgan Burnett was the last safety they selected and they took him 71st. I'm pretty sure Dom Capers is still having nightmares about every one of his D-lineman getting mercilessly pancaked in the SF game. Sylvester Williams maybe?

Yeah it might change with the new CBA but they're kinda a cheapskate team that only pays big for impact positions. That's why everyone is always yelling for them to sign/draft a stud RB and they never do it.

Williams would be a good fit as a 3-4 DE. I could go with that.

Not sure. However, once we get past Houston I think the next few picks will fly quickly, as you described. We should be able to finish the first round before the real draft. That said, it's up to you as to what you want to do.

Hopefully with Angelo out of the GM chair the Bears won't be dumb enough to draft Manti, but I fear your prediction may be correct....

how 'bout this.

we'll give the Packers Sylvester Williams. As Orpheus posted, it fits with their approach and is just as much a need as Safety.

then, we'll move on to the next few picks to end the round and leave it at that for review. this thing has no interest so I'm very willing to let it fade away.

Houston's on the clock.

I think the lack of interest has a lot to do with the draft class as a whole. Its totally void of any big names and I would be surprised if there is a 2013/14 pro bowler in the bunch....

i could see that, but this is the NFL we're talking about... I think it's more an RM issue (and folks not being here as much).

I could see Houston taking a WR, another sneaky thing they could do is take a TE they can flex out since they like to use a lot of multiple TE sets, and then take a WR in the next round.

I'm not a huge NFL guy anyway, but I would have participated a lot more if it didn't seem like we were discussing a bunch of OL prospects and unknowns/raw potential type guys. Just seems like a weak class.

i think that's part of it, but usually we've got more folks picking for their favorite team so it's not the same four or five of us having a conversation and picking indifferently.

The one person per team thing draws more interest because it's not just your team's pick, it's YOUR pick as well. Makes it a little more fun.

i would prefer that way of doing things over this, but i saw we were already 20 days away from the draft and the discussion hadn't even started.

so who do we think would be Houston's pick?

Robert Woods or DeAndre Hopkins?
