The board's server will undergo upgrade maintenance tonight, Nov 5, 2014, beginning approximately around 10 PM ET. Prepare for some possible down time during this process.
So you want the overweight 3B to just go ahead on DH for 2 seasons, just in time to hit his thirties, and THEN return to the field? Pandas probably got 2 usable years of defense left. Sandoval is a good hitter- but he is basicallya tick above replacement level as a DH as far as hitters go- and thats NOW. I mean hell, his OPS was a respectable .739 this year. Good, but not worth stashing at DH so he can be a defensive liability 2 years from now.

MLB Rankings in his Age 28 Season (*at a premium offensive position) for Panda 76 in OPS (behind guys like Trevor Plouffe and barely ahead of Martin Prado) 83 in OBP 76 in HR 115 in BB 49 in Avg
Just among 3B? 8th in Avg 13th in OPS T-9th in HR 16th in OBP
In fact, outside of being an adorable postseason story, Pablo Sandoval kinda stinks. This is his PEAK. and he really is barely above average.

Panda in Fenway? Lets watch that Slugging Percentage Dip Below .400 with all those line drive doubles into the gap in PacBell (shut up) become singles off the monster.
