I have ongoing hip/lower back issues. It's not a lot of fun. When it gets bad I can't sit or stand and it hurts to lay down.

I've torn my right hamstring twice.

Found out today I might have a torn meniscus from that fall I took last month. Going in for tests tomorrow. If it's true, I'll look into surgery when I go back to Argentina

What was your knee feeling like that made you get it checked out? Pretty sure I just have a bone bruise but my paranoid side fears meniscus damage too.

When the accident happened, I had my shoulder and my right ankle x-rayed because those were the areas that hurt. The rest of my right leg felt fine. However, a few days after the accident, I started feeling these really sharp, sporadic pains. They only happened once every couple of days, and all I had to do was stretch my leg out and they'd go away (it would feel as if something "popped" back into place in the leg). Because it coincided with my vacation, I just thought I'd get it looked at when I returned to Buenos Aires.

However, a few days ago, during a flight, the pain came on just as I was getting up from my seat, and I stepped down on it and it was the most horrible pain I'd ever felt. It eventually subsided, but it left me limping for the rest of the day. This is what convinced me to get it checked out while I was abroad. The doctor said he's pretty convinced it's a torn meniscus, but we need an MRI to determine that. So that's what I'm doing tomorrow

tl;dr: sharp, shooting pains in right leg that would go away when I stretched it out, feeling a "pop" that provided relief, as if something snapped back into place.

Do you like the medical care in the States more or back home more?

I was once severely injured in the crash of an experimental lifting body aircraft, but fortunately was rebuilt in an operation that cost just over 34 million in 2017 dollars. My right arm, both legs and the left eye were replaced with bionic implants that enhance my strength, speed and vision far above human norms: I can run at speeds of 60 mph (97 km/h), and my eye has a 20:1 zoom lens and infrared capabilities, while my bionic limbs all have the equivalent power of a bulldozer; especially my d*ck. I use my enhanced abilities to work for the OSI (Office of Scientific Intelligence) as a secret agent.

Years of grappling have been hard on my neck but nothing too serious has come of it yet.

I stepped on a sewing needle once and had to have it surgically removed.

The only medical care I got in the US was a doctor who visited my apartment the day after the painful episode in the flight. It was like pulling teeth to get Visa Travel Assistance to pay for it. He told me it was a muscular issue and gave me a shot in the butt.

I tore my meniscus running down hill on pavement which I guess isn't that unusual. The odd thing was I didn't feel it rip but when I was sitting at my desk an hour later it was like my knee exploded. I never went to the doctor and just dealt with it for a few years cause the pain would come and go. I kept playing basketball and running and stuff. For some reason that didn't bother me as much as mowing the lawn. Something about walking on uneven ground. Eventually it started getting worse and I couldn't ignore it anymore. So I got it looked at and confirmed that it was torn. I guess a large cyst grew on the tear cause I ignored it for so long. I got it sniped and a month later I was good as new.

I also tore my rotator cuff in both shoulders in consecutive years. One one year the other the following. Those hurt. I knew some people who got surgery and were never the same and I had just paid to fix my knee so once again I didn't go to the doctor and rehabbed them myself. It worked out this time. The rehab I did was enough but each shoulder took almost a year to feel normal. So basically I was in pain for two years. I kept playing basketball and couldn't reach from three and could only rebound with one arm. I knew I was better when I could hit 3's with ease again.

I had a ton of ticky tack injuries in my 30's which I attributed to getting older but I also gained a ton of weight after getting married. When I lost the weight all the injuries stopped. I realized I was carrying too much weight for my body to handle. I feel like I'm 18 again. Skip the donuts kids.

Some foods like pizza can give me acid reflux and they could never come to terms with the idea that I chose to avoid eating foods that bothered me instead of just taking pills and eating whatever I wanted. I told them your not supposed to stay on those pills for more than a few weeks it can mess up your kidneys. It says it on the bottle. Blank stares. They've been on them for years. Basically their feeling is any side affect that comes from taking a medication you just take more medication. I can't tell you how many times they've said before they eat how they are going to pay for it later. I say how about not eating it. More blank stares.

Still getting used to my newly cracked spine. There was a serious lock by upper right that I have been living in ignorance of forba long time. Gonna take some work to get it to set properly now.
