Honestly I will probably never play basketball again. My left shoulder is shredded. Even if I get surgery to tighten my shit up there is no way I'd risk fucking it up again.

So you concede

Initial consult with Ortho was...not great. I have an MRI in a few weeks and seems like the surgical options could have to involve fixing some bone damage based on his review the imaging I brought with me. I didn't get into it but I'm assuming the difference between surgeries would be scope vs open with open being a tougher recovery. Yuck.

That's the thing. I was sitting at my boring office job stretching when this happened. I already gave up all sports and rec.

Residual effect.

All joking aside though. Man I’m sorry that fucking sucks. The worst thing about my injury was not being able to carry anything because both hands were devoted to the crutches.

I can hobble a bit without them now.

No . The other day (Sunday) at Walmart , i was getting an item down from the top shelf and I did not ask for help .

The corner of the 4-jello packet doinked me right on the lip. It still hurts .

Plus then it rained

Black cherry?

Nope. Bacon pancake

The shoulder feels almost back to normal. Still a little stiff and I'll have to be extra careful for a few months. Knowing it could, and probably will, happen again under the right circumstances is what will probably force me into the surgery. Either way, I'm never going to beat you at basketball as per my birthright. That's fucked up.

Get the surgery.

So you can't lift a plate initially .

I'm sure it beats not being able to, 10 years later , stretch a little bit in your fat-ass office chair without your arm falling out

that's why it happened. the best thing you could probably do is start attacking the injury by working it out a bit. that's what i do. ur getting so soft. i wanna see you pick up your running if anything. wtf are you thinking dude. boss up.

not risking it means it will just atrophy and get worse

Why? Go to a physical therapist instead.
