3 miles in the rain. First mile was slower than it felt so I upped the pace the last two. I've only ran in the rain a few times, but I love the way it feels.

How was everyone's running year?
Mine was...mixed. By the numbers, I stacked far less miles than I planned. Goal was 1000 and I will barely miss 500.
However, I feel like nearly every mile ran was quality. I learned how to tame my heart rate. I trained for and beat a sub 2 hour half marathon goal. I ran in some really enjoyable spaces, and save for a long summer stretch of near abandonment, I wove a 3-4 day routine into my busy week.
Ending the year by starting another half marathon training block ahead of a March race and fully plan to celebrate 2023, the year of my 40th, by getting a full marathon in the fall.
What about you guys?

Not bad overall. I started the year hot, but summer and Covid messed me up. Hopefully I have been building endurance with longer, slower runs. I didn’t have a miles goal, but I think I’m going to end up around 480.
I won’t say I have given up on my life 25:00 5k goal, but I don’t think about it much

Feel like you and I are going to end on identical mileage. We should connect on December 30th and you'll probably run one mile more on NYE to beat/vanquish me on the pavement

I have the 23rd through the 2nd off so I could run to Houston after Christmas day.

That would add a lot to your mileage.
