The board's server will undergo upgrade maintenance tonight, Nov 5, 2014, beginning approximately around 10 PM ET. Prepare for some possible down time during this process.
you guys hit the nail on the head with the dad bod. i ran a steady but very slow 12 miles this morning and am paying for it. any tips for what to do the day after a long run if the back is still sore? i’ve been dabbling in yoga but it’s hard to tell a difference yet.
luckily, the weather was gorgeous. low 80s, brilliant sunshine, and a slight breeze. it doesn’t get any better than that, huh?

my back feels great today, guys. i might be turning a corner in my return-to-form journey.
more importantly, i’m learning to love again the little meditations that a nice long run affords. there is a particular stretch during my favorite trail in which, were it not for the paved trail itself, there would be no signs of civilization. no cars whooshing gently in the distance, no chatter of other runners or dog walkers, no distant crack of a bat from a ballgame—just the deep sigh of the sublime. running is truly a joy.
no wonder most runners are so centered and peaceful.

so what's the consensus on relay races? running fad with an excuse to cash in on states' tourism booms (i.e., the kentucky bourbon trail relay) or a legitimate activity for serious runners? i lead toward the former.
