IMO, they were great all throughout their initial run. I recently revisited Machina and it sounds like shit but it's filled with strong songs.

Siamese Dream remains my favorite 90s rock album

i quite like adore, and there are some strong songs on machina, but even those two albums are a giant step back from SD and MC...

even gish is better than I remember. I think Billy Corgan is probably the most talented musician of that scene

Agreed. Certainly not my favorite, but he understood how to meld the studio with the song far better than any of the others in this tournament.

I guess. But rarely has his music moved me. There are a handful of songs but that's it. So, really what's the point? What good is it being "the best musician" of a time and place if the music doesn't affect or move you?
