Forgot about Del Toro and weird to think he wont come back for the new one right?
I really didn’t like him or his character in TLJ. No great loss. Plus he’d have no function to serve.
well, no function to serve? a lot of SW characters come back just because. It wouldt be the first time....i think the main idea behind his was to come back and redeem himself.
im about to finish The Americans, and they need to give Keri Russell some cool action scenes. If they make her a pilot or some politician ill the first plane to whatever and kick JJ´s ass.

I forgot to mention. The show runners for the Americans have been signed up to do the Cassian series. Everyone I know who watches that show are saying this is a fantastic match up and a perfect fit. I’ve never seen that show but the premise I can see them having transferable skills for what Cassian seems to be about
Kinda bummed out thats that show...they are way more talented than that. But if they can write and control everything it will be great even with a character as boring as Cassian.

I really liked him. I think you get more of an idea about him and what he is about than anyone in rogue one. Hopefully the show gets to show how he became that. He’s willing to kill in cold blood for the rebellion and in the books he was a separatist /anti republic to begin with. So what happened for him to change allegiance?
Well, im not a fan of Rogue One. So im not interested in revisiting a character that died there. Im dont care why he did that or why didnt do it.
But thats me of course, and the fact that the guys in The Americans are doing a show is enough to keep me interested. I just wish it could have been with a better character-story.

If he was compelling enough. There’s just a dearth of compelling characters in the ST

If you don’t think Kylo and Rey are compelling you haven’t been watching the same film I have. Kylo particularly. And especially. He’s probably given the best performance of all Star Wars films saga or not, in this one film. Cannot fuckin wait to see how he brings it and what he brings in 9.
He’s the star of the entire series based on acting ability and performance.

Well, I didn't say the whole series is without compelling characters; they are just scarce. Kylo and Rey are the only ones (and I would admit at this point, the two most important ones)
