My favourite thing or one of them is that they shot the x wings the same way in R1 as they are in a new hope. Only faster. And more intense.

In the comics he finds out Luke is his son between a new hope and empire.
He sends boba fett off to find out who that pilot is.
Fett comes back and tells him in this huge room like the emperors throne room.
When he tells him the boys name is Luke Skywalker and from Tatooine Vader tells him to leave. And when he does you see the glass cracking as he's looking out at it.
He's beyond furious and shits breaking around him. Like that scene at the end of Sith when he hears padme is dead.

Rogue one makes a new hope an even better film. They did a miracle job of tying them up.

Bail Organa is the prince consort (husband) to the queen of alderaan. So like queen elizabeths husband isn't king he's the duke of Edinburgh. He married into the royal line. He's not made king but consort. (Plus she's royalty the other way though padme but that's neither here nor there in canon)Make sense?

Yes. Thank you.

Man alive. I would sure as shit go for a standalone Obi Wan movie.

Re: A New Hope

Now I am a little muddy as to why Bail Organa wanted leia to send for Obi Wan. I understand why Leia had to put the plans in the droid and get it off the ship but doesn't the rebellion know plans were transmitted? Shouldnt the escape pod been sent to yavin or something?

Re: A New Hope

Sat December 31, 2016 4:29 pm

So basically if the ship wasn't attacked and they got the plans cleanly.....

Bail says "Leia, get the plans, but send them to obi wan and totally bypass the rebel alliance and have them go all the way around the world first and we can hope that obi wan finds the plans and gets them back to us"

Star wars sucks

Bail would have heat on him. He's probably being watched and doesn't want to expose Obi Wan. Sending Leia makes sense too cos well she's Luke's brother and by sending her that close would make Obi Wan see how serious Bails request is for him to come out of hiding and to their aid. Being the brilliant general he was n all.

Remember what's just happened. The empire just suffered a major attack and the rebel fleet got away for the most part. The whole military fleet would be mobilised to track down and attack all rebel ships and suspected rebel ships and bases.

Reason number two to send Leia.

Whoa, I’m watching the HBO Spielberg documentary, and they mentioned how the Star Wars opening crawl was Brian De Palma’s idea. Did not know that.
