I noticed today when watching R1 how many times an x-wing flies through an explosion. And now watching ANH, it's crazy how many times a ship flies through an exploded opponent. Awesome. Makes R1 even better.

I still don't get how Vader doesn't sense that Luke is his son during that final battle.

Bail Organa is the prince consort (husband) to the queen of alderaan. So like queen elizabeths husband isn't king he's the duke of Edinburgh. He married into the royal line. He's not made king but consort. (Plus she's royalty the other way though padme but that's neither here nor there in canon)Make sense?

In the comics he finds out Luke is his son between a new hope and empire.
He sends boba fett off to find out who that pilot is.
Fett comes back and tells him in this huge room like the emperors throne room.
When he tells him the boys name is Luke Skywalker and from Tatooine Vader tells him to leave. And when he does you see the glass cracking as he's looking out at it.
He's beyond furious and shits breaking around him. Like that scene at the end of Sith when he hears padme is dead.

Now I am a little muddy as to why Bail Organa wanted leia to send for Obi Wan. I understand why Leia had to put the plans in the droid and get it off the ship but doesn't the rebellion know plans were transmitted? Shouldnt the escape pod been sent to yavin or something?

So basically if the ship wasn't attacked and they got the plans cleanly.....

Bail says "Leia, get the plans, but send them to obi wan and totally bypass the rebel alliance and have them go all the way around the world first and we can hope that obi wan finds the plans and gets them back to us"
