"I couldn't do it. I failed them. He killed them all and I couldn't do it."

Clearly she's seeking revenge against Vader not Kenobi.

"You haven't failed them. But showing mercy, you have given them peace. You have honored them."

And that's why Kenobi let Vader live.

I liked this one enough. Ewan was so good. Hayden too…that broken helmet scene was great.

The whole Reva thing….rushed and it doesn’t make a lot of sense too.

I wish they got someone more talented than Chow. She wasn’t for this.

Overall, it was ok.

Just watched the Andor trailer again.

We’re in for a real treat with that I think.

I’m not one for complaining about the volume but you can see the difference. This looks like a proper film

Of course retconning is always going to be divise and weird. I dont think we needed a Ben - Leia relationship, or a origin to that pistol thing he gave her, but at the same time, i really like that ending with both of them together.

The ¨you are my only hope¨ resonates even more now.

Really great observation. It does.

"That boy is our only hope."
"No, there is another."

Is hilariously stupid now.

It’s not at all.

Obi wan doesn’t see or sense any force sensitivity from Leia in this series.
Her mam wasn’t the force capable one. Her dad was. You could view that a little or a lot paternalistic by Lucas. But it was 70s/80s and then 90s. The Jedi originally were all male like priests / monks/ Samurai in his original vision. Not exactly a female space.
And obi wan addresses that through the series and especially in his farewell to her. And padmes gifts are far more present than anakins within Leia

Wouldn’t get too hung up on this B

I was just watching ESB. None of your imagined nuance is there. Obi-Wan is absolute unaware of Leia after telling her how amazing and important she is. You can pile up whatever nonsense you want, but when that line plays in ESB, the only possible audience response is WTF?

Heard some guys on sports radio here in Boston talking about Obi-Wan - they didn't like it, but really liked Rogue One and The Last Jedi.

I think there's two kinds of Star Wars fans - those who really liked Rogue One and The Last Jedi and those who didn't.

I remember that. My original take was the same as dime's, but having seen this show it's entirety, and then watching that scene in ESB, I was just like ... "hah! nope!"

If there was an internet in 1980, this would have been one of those things people debated for the years between the movies. One of the hosts of Star Wars Minute admitted that when he was 11, he thought this was referring to Chewbacca.

It's not stupid since I don't subscribe to this new Obi-Wan show. I reject it!

You are part of the fan movement to take this show off the canon list!

Those poor people missed out on years of "Chewbacca the Chosen One" takes. And that makes me sad.
