Tue July 12, 2016 10:50 am

Looks like they're gonna be announcing this at Star Wars celebration in London this coming weekend.

This is going to be great.

So are they doing Kenobi before Boba Fett? I thought someone posted here once that they were going to do Boba Fett after Han Solo?

Trank was to be doing boba fett, so the story goes. the fett story has all but disappeared, doesnt look like its happenning..

we dont need a film about him at all though.

I agree. But I would like a stand alone about a "bad guy".

Even the Han Solo film is a hard sell for me..i'm just not that bothered about it. Rogue one is intriguing but i dont see how a Fett movie would excite anyone at all tbh..would probably tank at the box office

Ewan mcgregor better star in this.

Rogue One is the perfect subject for a stand alone. I'm super pumped about it. I am far less interested in any stand alone film based on characters we already know from the saga movies.

The one exception, for me, and I'm speaking only for myself, is Obi-Wan. I adore that character and there is so much about him we don't know that I would love to see explored. If this thing is happening, I'm excited about it.

I am not excited about Han Solo. Or a Boba Fett stand alone. Or a Yoda stand alone. Or a Mon Mothma stand alone. Don't care.

My hope is that they'll get back to more interesting and saga-adjacent films like Rogue One before they finally grow the balls to go way way way back and give us some Old Republic movies.

on exactly the same page, Dct.

*Everyone* wants the Obi Wan film...I wasn't sure til i read the 'from the journals of obi wan kenobi' comics this past weekend. There's so much they could tell about that period and what he got up to.

Now a General Grievous stand alone on the other hand... amirite?!
