Ehhhh Harrison Ford was only ever doing a Han Solo impression. That’s an actors job. Weirdly and most notably in TFA. And he did a far better han impression on TFA than he did in ROTJ where he didn’t want to be there or even care at all.

The shot where he embodies Han the most, for me, so far, is this one:
The eyes. The eyebrows. The wrinkle/crease between his eyebrows. The slightly frowning, pouting mouth. Just screams Han Solo to me.
I think the guy has hit the mark. An impossible mark. Filtering han we knows attitude and sardonic slightly worldweary and dim view out and somehow maintaining an attitude of a younger more idealistic guy with notions about himself and a need to prove himself. Even from the few teasers we’ve seen he’s totally nailed the landing of that and it was an impossible ask.
I'm certainly interested in and excited to see his take on the character. I like what we've seen so far. I think you're right in terms of how he's approaching this version of Han who is ten years younger than we've ever seen him before.

Dime, you've lost your mind.
Ford is Han is Indy is Ford is Han.
Well yeah I know that. I always thought ford was overrated. Han and Indy are pretty much the same guy. Both capable of gettin themselves into trouble, Indy is probably more naive and less caustic and capable of getting himself out. Han relies on pure luck. And indy doesn’t need a chewie whereas han totally depends on chewie.

Can I be Lando? I always liked Lando.
After what you pulled
There’s a story we never saw. Last han knows Lando has betrayed him. He wakes up out of Carbon freezing and then few scenes later is giving the falcon back to Lando for a suicide mission? I wanna see that awkward confrontation.
The last shot book has loads of exactly that but about a different double crossing each other.

Let me know if what you mentioned above ends up in Last Shot. Because, I'd be interested in seeing that scene play out, too.

Bodhi and Finn go on the same journey. Imperial Troops that see what’s wrong and defect.
Looks like han will be the same way. ‘Joins up but Gets washed out of the imperial academy’. This will add loads to han and his attitude towards Finn in TFA. He knows a million miles away what this kids been through but also what a sham his story is.

It hasnt so far but man is it overworked and convoluted. It’s jumping back and forth in time over ten years. Then Over fifteen years. And they’re separating it by doing different narrators in the different time periods. Two very different sounding guys and a woman. It’s bizarre.
Usually there’s some nuggets buried in tied into the new canon but none so far apart from
Chewie has returned to his own family. At this time Ben is literally a 2 year old toddler. So has no family dog attachment to him as we thought from tfa
