I got these this morning in the post. goddammit I wish they’d left that scene in TFA of Han hanging these back up. It was even Fords idea as he remembered the dice from ANH so he just ordered a set off eBay and they filmed it but it got cut. It would have tied Solo and TFA and TLJ especially together so nicely. Ah well. They’re a good weight and weathered. And only €15 on zavvi. These are the official ones beware of imitations. There are many

WHy is everyone so hung up on these dice? I don't get it. Why do we need items to tie movies together? Wasn't the fact that the entire SOLO movie was about Han Solo enough to tie it to the sw universe?
That's the problem with the new movies...there's too much blatant forced tie-ins to make it look like the creators tried to hard to say "hey look, it's officially star wars!"
blargggggggghhhh

The dice were in the cockpit in a new hope. Han hung them back up in TFA when he reclaimed the falcon Luke takes them down and they’re a story point in the last Jedi

Oh shut up you just hate people being happy
I know they were in ANH.
They just don't mean anything. Just set decoration. They've added meaning after the fact.
Ok, I'll shut up now.

No they weren’t.
I know. That was my point. If it’s in the story it’s in the fucking story and adds to it. Han had those dice hanging in the cockpit in a new hope. Muggins here is trying to now say they aren’t involved or important to the story.
Yes they Fucking are. Kylo picks them up and they disappear in his hand. They’re rather important to the story as it happens.
Grrr arrgh
I need a tea earl grey, hot
Fucknuggets coming in here being wrong assholes. I’ll show them. I’ll show them all

it's not and you are right to point out that no one gives a shit about the dice, and most weren't even aware they existed. They have no emotional impact.

They weren’t important until Luke handed them to Leia. I think his point was that every bit of minutiae doesn’t have to be made into SOME BIG DEAL. The dice were just a little wink to the car cruisers with fuzzy dice hanging from the rearview. Now they have to hold all this symbolism and shit that meant absolutely nothing when originated.
And I would love an earl grey.
