I end up bringing up my unhealthy Lego Star Wars obsession over all sorts of threads in this forum. So Ill just make a thread.

For my birthday my mom had my daughter show her my list of lego star wars I wanted and got me these two..

This one this ship is so so, but I really wanted a Savage Opress

and this one

I don't know much about the Old Republic stuff, and none of the figures have names (ie Jedi Knight).. but I just thought it's a really cool looking ship.

I saw that new $700 Falcon at the Lego store in Raleigh. Woah!

I wouldn't even know where to put that thing. It's as big as my bed.

Ugh I want that so bad.

a lot of the wave that just came out this past month was very meh. The september wave with the BB8 was pretty solid though.

At what age is it "appropriate" to start buying Legos for my "son"?

Oh totally. Just buy them now and then open them up and assemble them just to make sure they work and all the pieces are there. Once you're sure everything is good to go, you know, like in 5 years, he can have them.
