My friend worked at AMC and got me in to the employee screenings the night before each one opened. So I got to see them with like 10 other people in the theater. It was as close as I'll get to having a theater to myself to watch those movies and it was glorious.

Of course, I saw them all several times, so I also got the packed house/super fan/quote-along/lightsaber fights pre-movie experience as well.

The SEs were fun too, because they recreated the thrill of standing in line for a movie. And the changes made to the films were tolerable at the time because hey, at least we were seeing them on the big screen! :haha:

Aw you guys

There is nothing like sitting in a theatre on opening night and those magic words appear and the roar when the fanfare comes on. It’s fucking glorious.
And then the complete silence when the crawl appears :haha:

Go see empire if it’s anywhere near you. You’ll be very happy you did.
All the wonder but even better.
