I don't know if it was the original idea, but it was an idea.

The early drafts with Gary Kurtz are pretty different and more "adult" than the final product we got. You can google "original Revenge of the Jedi drafts" and get the gist of where the film was going. I've read them, and wish we would have gotten it rather than the mediocre film we got.

Also, it's totally popular to love Boba Fett. Folks lose their shit over a character that had a total of under 5 minutes screen time. He's ok, but definitely overrated.

Here's one. I think Darth Vader's kinda lame. He's like a giant walking missed opportunity.

That'll be super unpopular with Ruddo. But I don't know how generally unpopular that opinion is.

Yeah most people hate grievous. But he's got a potentially awesome history. I love him

Similar to Vader, I feel like he's a missed opportunity. So far. There's still time to right that ship, I suppose.

I think the original execution of Vader is perfect. It's not his fault that the practical effects and action sequences look dated by today's standards. Watching Yoda do cartwheels in the prequels was the beginning of this problem.

The only Vader fight sequence that looks dated is the one with Obi Wan. I think they did a great job with Vader in Empire and Jedi. The way he manhandled the space around him. Much more badass than flipping around like an idiot.

This, I can get on board with.

The Jedi fights in the prequels already look dated to me.

Me too. Does this now qualify as a Popular Star Wars Opinion?

Vader is cooler than Smaug. But he's not cooler than Drogon.

The Obi Wan Vader duel is fine.

Every single duel In the prequels is awful. Not one good one.

Over choreographed and somehow lacking any tension whatsoever.

Episode 1's is good. Other than that, you're right.
