Wait!

Oh man... so... do we think that maybe

Spoiler: show
since Luke puts his hand on R2's head in TFA while that temple is burning... do we think... is that a clue as to where is Green saber is?!!

We came to that conclusion months ago. Why else would Rian ask JJ to swap bb8 for R2 for the last scene in TFA. I think it’s a lock.

So you think that shot of Luke's hand on R2 was a reshoot? Either directed by or asked for by Rian?

Did you see the rolling stone interview? It looks like JJ and Rian collaborated. I’m betting the force vision and everything in it was something they both came up with together. It’s all tied forward as much as it is backwards.

No.
Right. That was discussed back during TFA -- look no further than your earlier reference about Rian asking for R2 instead of BB8.
I always thought the Force Vision stuff was all over the map. The internet told me it was all flash-back but I've never bought that.

The link for the RS interview is a page or two back. Give it a read. Rian and JJ are interviewed and it’s Revealing and intriguing. That vision is definitely all over the place. JJ said as much at one point.
And it’s both Luke and Reys memories. Ones they might not have had yet. Words to that effect.
Think it’s on the commentary? Can’t remmeber.

I’ll be shocked if R2 doesn’t have his green saber. Will it be green though? It might be white now. And will it appear in last Jedi? It might not.

Oh man, I hadn't even considered that the crystal would change and the blade would be white. I know a lot of more casual Star Wars fans wouldn't get it and would be pretty upset probably not to see the green blade. But if Luke ignites it and it's white... I will literally weep. That would be so fucking amazing.

Makes all the sense in the world that it would be white.
The other big theory is that kylo stole his saber and corrupted and bled it and screwed up and that’s the one in his blade and why it’s all unstable and fucked up.
And that’s why luke has no saber.
Rhymes with the very recent Vader comic telling us a with has to defeat a Jedi and take his saber to make his own. We know they aren’t sith but it’s the kinda thing kylo would do to be like his grandpa. And it’s weird the comics have just told us this within the last few months no?

Can we have it both ways?

And remember. Why does kylo say that lightsaber belong to me?
Maybe Luke had retrieved the family saber and hid it with maz after kylo stole his green one?

I can’t wait for the books to come hopefully explaining all this stuff

I just got back from Disney World in FLA.

I didn't hit the Star Tours ride with the new scene from Crait; Sorry, but I was with a large group and we had to hit a bunch of different parks. I have a kid who is under 3 so there were certain things we needed to do and see.

A few random SW observations, though:

Star Tours - they had ads for the ride on the disney world special in house resort TV channel. had Darth Vader very active on a circular, black thing that hovered - not sure if that's new or not. no scenes from Crait advertised

TLJ toys selling everywhere - I didn't look as I don't want to be spoiled, but stuff was all over the place form action figures to hats, T-Shirts, etc.

Advertisements for the new Star Wars Hotel that they are building - I guess the hotel will look and feel like staying in a real Star Wars movie

Lots of construction everywhere, all over at every park, but carefully hidden with green shrubs and green mesh netting covered over big metal fences.

Lots of folks in Star Wars gear. Disney employees wearing Storm Trooper outfits and messy with people. I didn't see it, but one came up to a friend and whispered to her to move along. I guess he sounded just like he does in the movies. Haha

Wouldn't say there was a Star Wars buzz, but you could feel the force a bit.

That sounds cool coach thanks for sharing.

The hotel experience thing they’re doing sounds awesome. It’s gonnw be an interactive experience tailored to you that will follow you all across the Star Wars land part of the park.
No idea how they’re doing it but lots of tech involved I’d imagine.

Im sure ill be honeymoon Phase with TLJ like I was for TFA and im okay with that. I think once the trilogy is wrapped up and it becomes its own thing and a fully story....ill be able to accurately judge each individual film. I look forward to that.

But I do absolutely think that the last jedi could be a really fucking fantastic movie and not just a really fucking fantastic star wars movie.

I know and I thank you for badgering me into taking it up. Great read and it’s definitely going to bleed into the Last Jedi. Eh? Ehh?

Luke could still be on the falcon. Though maybe he's so powerful he doesnt need a hunk of junk to get around the galaxy.

Oh man. Two weeks.

I'd set the over/under on Luke leaving Ahch-To at 38%

And I'd probably take the under.

He might. But I've never expected it. And for the record, I'm only talking about this film. I think the odds that Luke survives this movie are way higher than most think.
