There are a few legitimate complaints to be made about the last jedi.
The bombs aren’t really one of them.
I'm pretty sure I'm always going to have a problem with Leia doing her space Mary Poppins
Can I reframe it for you? Cos I had the same issue.
It’s not that she was able to do it. It makes sense that she could.
It was the depiction and how it was handled.
I get that one. It could have been done better.
But here we are. She’s had the force the whole time. Just untrained. Inate ability is there in the OT. Sad part is that’s the best musical cue in the whole film and people miss it cos of the visual.

Yeah I’d noticed. Ps I don’t post videos from YouTube postulating bullshit as fact. I’m kinda dead set against that unless it’s a trusted source with verifiable info. Don’t think I ever did about Obi wan but that dream is just that.

It wasn’t wasted. At all. Countless Asian kids sitting across the world saying she looks like me! Someone from my tribe is in Star Wars! Same with Boyega but mostly same with Rey. They made Star Wars accessible for little girls where it kinda never was. That side story is crap we all agree but her presence in TLJ serves a bigger purpose. We finally get to see a subordinate. Not a hero just a grease monkey who keeps the wheels turning. Everything in Star Wars is hero hero hero. We get to see a normal person who just happens to be part of it.
I don’t get how people miss the impact of that on all the levels.

Yeah, ... her whole thing is like SW from another perspective. I like the part where they see the great hero codebreaker character who looked like he was going to be a new Han Solo but then, nope, arrested and we get the loser Del Toro guy and nothing works out and it was all pointless. I actually like all that now.

I also didn't notice before how the great codebreaker was too distracted with his gambling to notice or give a shit. The way maz canada (SP?) describes him, you're thinking this guy is going to be a great addition to the cast of heroes, but nope.

This is all great stuff for the saga and blockbusters in general. My issues are mostly with her dialogue. Everything was just so on the nose.
