I think im one of the few that actually really digs the new characters. Id hate to see Luke go because well - He's luke - but Id be fine and excited about thew new characters carrying the weight of the rest of the trilogy by themselves.

I love Rey and Kylo. Not enough screen time for Poe. Finn is ok.

i agree on poe. they're missing a chance to have him fill the han void, unless he takes a step up in this next one.

Leia sees Poe as an adoptive son and is grooming him for leadership of the resistance..that much is confirmed for TLJ...she even slaps him at one point....so take heart. he will come forward soon.

it all culminates in a DP scene with C3PO that is so graphic and offensive Harvey Weinstein felt compelled to pay former ISIS mercenaries to attempt to find and destroy the footage

Saw this trailer again last night before American Made, and for whatever reason my interest is waning considerably. Of course I'll go see it, but it's like it looks a little worse every time I watch footage, and JJ's involvement with IX is such a buzzkill.

‘I don’t like the trailer so that means it’s going to be shit and especially cos the totally unrelated choice of directors effect on this one’.

Cool thanks for that.
Take it easy dime, no one is trying to deprive you of your Star Wars joy. I come into this thread once a month, and today I happen to feel like they might be fumbling the new trilogy. You are still free to disrobe and cover your naked body in Mark Hamill tweets and BB-8 cereal. The world will still turn and George Lucas's chin will continue to recede into his neck regardless of my opinions.
I wasn't blown away by the trailer, but I'm pretty confident this new film will be better than Force Awakens. Excited, but avoiding thinking about it or spoiling it.
