I watched this again last night.

The Great: K2SO; Chirrut and Baze; watching Chirrut fight the stormtroopers; Krennec; Saw; Riz Ahmed is terrific; the action scenes; the opening sequence; the way it all ends (all the deaths, not Vader or Leia)

The good: Jyn and Cassian; Vader

The terrible: The last shot of Leia; Tarkin's eyes; the music feels half-finished; there is no setup for Vader, his place here feels wholly irrelevant; the film spends too much time setting up Jyn's backstory and motivations, when I with they spent more time fleshing out Cassian and the pilot.

I still like this movie a lot, but as with TFA, I find it to be very uneven. Felicity Jones doesn't blow me away or anything (and is often overshadowed by K2SO), and I feel like some good opportunities were missed because the filmmakers tried to cram in too many characters. I'd be happier with no Jyn, Vader, Leia, C3PO & R2, or Bail Organa, and more time with Cassian, the pilot, Chirrut, Baze, and Saw.

God knows where that is.

I seem to remember it saying
Fffffuuuuuuuuck. It's an all over the place mess but the last twenty minutes are the best Star Wars in all Star Wars.

Or words to that effect. I did like it more second time.
