Or will ST 3 and Episode 8 be some kind of mad crossover?!!?!!!?!!! JJ wasn't sure if he was even coming back for a second ST movie. |

How do folks feel about Luke, Lei and Han coming back and playing roles? Harrison Ford is the only one I care to see come back. He has real talent. Im not sure Carrie Fisher and Mark Hamil have the kind of talent to reprise such a role at their age. It would be weird for me, maybe. Harrison Ford still has that swagger. |

Harrison Ford still has that swagger. the reason i can still love the holy trilogy after the prequel debacle is that these characters weren't smudged. i agree that harrison ford is still tits, but i don't like to think of han solo aging. in my mind, he is interminably young and fucking leia hard in wicket's hut while everyone else is singing the yub yub song. |

If the story is right, I'm fine with all of them coming back. If I was a writer, I think I'd try to find a way to mirror the events of the original trilogy in some way. Not entirely, but in some way. Maybe instead of a rebellion gaining steam to take down the Empire, a rogue terrorist cell gaining steam to take down the new republic. Maybe the event that sparks the action is an assassination, like, say, the assassination of President Leia Skywalker-Solo. Would LOVE to see Luke back in the original Obi-Wan, wandering, wise Jedi-hermit role. |

Even if the last Indiana Jones hadn't been turkey shit, his performance would still have made it clear that, no matter how awesome you are, there are some characters you can't go on playing forever. The whole reason this universe has survived as long as it has is that it was built expansive, as full of mystery as detail, and open for exploration. Why anybody would respond to it by wanting to see a 70 year old Han Solo is beyond my ability to comprehend. |

As I understand it the film is actually called Into Darkness. Abrams & Co just didn't want a (:) in the title. They didn't want Star Trek: Into Darkness. They're going for The Dark Knight treatment (ie: no 'Batman' in the title). But Paramount's all worried about people not knowing it's Star Trek. Perhaps media outlets should start writing it as (Star Trek) Into Darkness. |
