How about death star against death star or something.

Kind of semi related, but that superstar destroyer getting destroyed in ROTJ I found particularly satisfying. I mean, both death stars were up against entire squadrons but them star destroyers were always bullying single ships on their own.

If they had not destroyed it, that would have been a better story going into the sequels. I mean, a rogue planet flying around tearing shit up? Maybe better for a second movie but still, it would have been something other than a parallel.

Could it "fly around" though? I don't know if I ever caught that in the movie. They used up the nearby star, but how did they get to another star? Or was the sole purpose of that base to take out all of the rebellion in one swipe?

In the book (of course) they mention how it can move around. If I recall, it positions itself by the nearest star to the target and drains it to power the weapon.

I was here long before you.

I will be here long after you’re gone.

You cannot defeat me.

You are welcome to try.

You will fail.

However you feel about this movie, there is no doubt that it’s a fun adventure. I think JJ will recapture that feeling for TROS.

Oh, there is doubt

I could see:

1. Rey not being built up well
2. Another Death Star (Starkiller Base)
3. Interesting characters that get too little time (Maz, Phasma, Snoke)
4. Han Solo feeling wrong, and getting murdered
5. Leia not playing a more active part
6. Luke hardly appearing at all
7. No Luke/Han scene
8. Too much action /too much silly action
9. The plot
10. R2
11. Something with Poe or Finn
12. Nothing explained

But that it's not a fun adventure. That's a hard sell for me.
