I watched the Gallery making of doco on Disney. They go thru it all episode by episode.
Cool take outs: Rosario Dawson’s script had Plo Kloon as the Jedi she was meeting up with. She had no idea it was Luke/mark Hamill she’d be shooting scenes with until she rocked up on set
They shot Hamill and his body double For all the Luke scenes. They say the technology they have now compared to Mando season 2 is the main reason Luke looked so much clearer in Book Of Boba. And that the technology is still improving.
Ming Na Wen is a massive Star Wars fan. She and Morrison have a great chemistry on and off the set.
George Lucas Wanted Tameura Morrison To play Boba.
The guy that originally designed the N1 starfighter With George Lucas still works on the show. And he helped design the new version.
They knew they couldn’t go thru the season without Mando and Grogus story not being advanced.
It was pretty cool

I was thinking about the complaint that Boba Fett didn't go through enough character growth to justify his jump from cold-blooded killer to benevolent leader.
But do we know that Boba Fett was ever a bad guy? When we met him, he was just some guy fulfilling a government contract. What's wrong with that? He didn't ever technically catch Han Solo. He just told Darth Vader where Han Solo was, and Darth Vader caught him.
Then he was given Han Solo by the government to hand over to Jabba, so Han's debt must have been legitimate in the eyes of the government? So, what? Boba Fett gets killed for carrying out the law?
I think Boba Fett was always a benevolent, law-abiding contractor who got a bad name because he doesn't talk a lot.

If the government is illegal, then working for the government is as well. Like the Nazi’s during ww2. Of course fixing one of their toilets, is just living. But working in a concentration camp can get you a heavy sentence, even 75-80 years later. What Boba did was not innocent work.

He wasn’t carrying out the law, tho. The bounty wasn’t placed on him by the Empire, it was placed on him by Jabba, a known criminal. Your explanation is the same thing as the US arresting a drug smuggler then handing them over to El Chapo.

Hmmmm .... are the Empire's crimes known to the general populace? I mean, I don't think the average Empire citizen knows that the Empire enslaved an entire planet of wookies. Or maybe they think wookies are just animals. After all, no one bothered to give Chewbacca a medal for destroying the Death Star.

What Boba did was not a job for an average citizen in the Empire. He's not a construction worker or a bartender in Coruscant that could argue they were tricked by the propaganda, and who didn't really do any harm themselves, he's on the front line, hunting the resistance.

I have acute disdain for it.
It's okay, I loved it enough to counter your disdain.
Agreed. Book of Boba Fett was cool. If you want to pretend episode 5 & 6 wasn’t book of boba you do you.

I don’t get the hate for this tbh.
The 6th episode is Up with the best 45 minutes of Star Wars You will see
Yes, that was an episode of a completely different and superior series called "The Mandalorian."
Mando was in it but it was Book of boba fett and it kicked ass
