The board's server will undergo upgrade maintenance tonight, Nov 5, 2014, beginning approximately around 10 PM ET. Prepare for some possible down time during this process.
Not surprising, but I hadn't seen the announcement a few days ago that The High Republic roll-out and launch has been postponed until next year.
Quote:
Lucasfilm has confirmed new dates for the launch of Star Wars: The High Republic, due to general marketplace delays.
Both Charles Soule’s adult novel Star Wars: The High Republic: Light of the Jedi and Justina Ireland’s middle grade novel Star Wars: The High Republic: A Test of Courage will both now release on January 5, 2021. Claudia Gray’s young adult novel Star Wars: The High Republic: Into the Dark has moved to a new release date of February 2, 2021.
New release dates for Marvel’s Star Wars: The High Republic series and IDW Publishing’s Star Wars: The High Republic Adventures series will be announced at a later time.
STAR WARS: THE HIGH REPUBLIC LIVESTREAM EVENT COMING JANUARY 4, 2021 JOIN THE AUTHORS OF LUCASFILM’S UPCOMING MULTI-PLATFORM EPIC FOR INSIGHTS, REVEALS, AND MORE. A new era of Star Wars is almost here, and Lucasfilm is celebrating.
StarWars.com is thrilled to announce that a special Star Wars: The High Republic livestream will be held January 4, 2021, at 9 a.m. PT on StarWars.com and YouTube, just one day before the first tales of The High Republic arrive in stores. The event will feature all five authors behind the launch stories of The High Republic — Claudia Gray (Into the Dark), Justina Ireland (A Test of Courage), Daniel José Older (IDW Publishing’s The High Republic Adventures), Cavan Scott (Marvel’s The High Republic), and Charles Soule (Light of the Jedi) — as well as Lucasfilm Publishing’s Michael Siglain and StarWars.com’s Kristin Baver. Fans can look forward to fresh insights into the characters and events of The High Republic, along with new announcements and reveals of what’s to come.

There was a wookie padawan kicking around in the Clone Wars, but they do look silly holding those delicate little lightsaber hilts. They should have made him a cool, Wooki-ized lightsaber.

Forgive my ignorance here, are these the first canonical High Republic productions or is there other stuff out there that I don't know about? I'm going to commit myself to the High Republic stuff in the new year, but want to approach it in the right order.

Well if thats the case, i might read the book.
It will make me feel like im getting in from the beginning instead of being overwhelmed with trying to catch up.
