It was ok. I like it and the effort is really cool.
Yeah, a movie about Vader being a badass is mostly what i want from those A SW Story series...I know they are kinda dead now, but it would be a very cool one to made. Coolest than Solo.

Well with no more movies in the pipeline that we know of I’d say they might let it all settle down for a few years. We’re not gonna see B&W’s trilogy for at least two years. Maybe even three. After that I can’t see them coming back to that period in the timeline. I’d say it’s done.
Unless they wanna get everyone all sides of the divide excited and announce Kenobi. But if that ever happens now it’s more likely to be tv than movie according to most in the know.

I hate the sw theory YouTube channel so much. But I guess I'll watch this.
Oh I didn’t realise they were behind it? That explains ‘those’ people loving it I guess. Nice to see them assholes happy about something Star Wars related I guess
The production value is great. There are some nice cinematic elements, to be sure. But the script leaves a lot to be desired. Overall, I enjoyed it for what it is. Hopefully, it's going somewhere interesting.

Yeah i really liked it. It’s odd how they were so on point for the most part but went hokey here and there.
Guess that’s that natural need in these guys to see x character overpowered and pulling star destroyers down with the force (for context that’s in almost ever other of these guys YouTube videos, like mike zeroh ‘official leak’ in almost every video he releases)
I adore fan-fiction but so far it's like 99% of the actual canon stuff is better than what these guys come up with. It's still fun to see what other people are into, though. I wish more of it aligned with what I like about Star Wars.

That’s the rub. Well intentioned as it all is it’s mostly about characters we know, really overpowered and more like x men than Jedi or whatever. There’s a lot of wish fulfilment or perhaps insecurities on display from what I can tell.
The backbone of the hate towards TLJ was Luke wasn’t the Jedi (aka superhero) they grew up with him being in their minds. A lot of these films seem to speak to that Disney are doing MY Star Wars wrong!’ So they make their own.
Better use of time than ranting on Twitter I guess

VG. You need to watch this. 15 minute fan film. It’s being lauded both sides of the fandom as the best fan film ever made. All about Vader. Over 3 million views in just a couple of weeks too. And it cost a fortune to make. Around 100,000 I heard. First in a series
Pretty good production but meh story. We always hear and see things about how the fans would know better and blah blah blah but these fans just made a mediocre piece of SW fiction. It repeats dialogue from the movies and that's cringey.
But kudos on making it look good.

TO be totally fair. We all love Rebels and clone wars. And they repeat dialogue from the films all the fuckin time and it’s so cringey. And that’s from the people at LFL!

I’d give these guys a pass in comparison
Ok. But to be honest I'm ambivalent on Rebels and watched a few episodes of The Clone Wars before bowing out.
I think this can be said for other genres that have sequels. I think they reuse dialog just to connect them to the previous films. To me it's a cheap tactic.
And "I have a bad feeling about this." Yes, SW is guilty of it. It's just when you are lifting exact lines to "rhyme" with the previous films it's kinda lame.

For a fan work, I thought it was amazing but far from perfect. There was more character development in it than all of TLJ.

That’s not really true. All of the main protagonists are in vastly different places at the end of the film compared to where they began. Luke Rey and Poe especially.
