Looks good. He wasn't my favorite thing about Rogue One, but I'm offering my trust to Disney+ at this point.

This does NOT look like it was shot on the Volume and it’s being driven by top tier creative talent (Gilroy). I am excited.

This was shot in London on sets and locations in the city. My pal even saw it bein TV filmed in a new tube station and sent me pics. Does feel different for it

Yep. Feels like they actually know what they’re doing. Would’ve been nice to assign some of this talent to Obi-Wan.

It’s exactly the same crew working on all of it

I don’t think that’s possible. And Tony Gilroy isn’t running Obi-Wan.

You’re being disingenuous now and you know it.
It all gets made by the same crew and lucasfilm employees. It’s all done in house.
Did you not know that?

If I have to, I will copy and paste the IMDB crew list into Excel and look for duplicates. I'm happy to stand corrected if wrong. I assume Lucasfilm has multiple crews working on shows simultaneously. I'm sure each showrunner had certain crew members they work with on all their projects as well.

Here's an example: the difference in quality between one of the Book of Boba episodes and the Mando-centric episodes directed by Bryce Dallas Howard.

Being right on the internet is such a throwback.

It’s the same people making these doubt all the props costumes graphics etc.
they all work for lucasfilm.

Such a weird hill to die on Ensign

I don't care whether I'm right or wrong.

Bottom line, Obi-Wan looks cheap and is poorly made. Andor does not appear to look cheap or poorly made and the showrunner has a proven track record.

Sorry if I'm being a buzzkill. I'm just really disappointed with Obi-Wan.

Bums me out that you're so disappointed with Obi-Wan. But there's a lot of Star Wars out there to enjoy. Hopefully, Andor can be the one for you.

Writers and Directors announced for Andor:

Writers -
Tony Gilroy wrote episodes 1-3 and 11-12.
Dan Gilroy wrote episodes 4-6.
Stephen Schiff wrote episode 7.
Beau Willimon wrote episodes 8-10.

I know Beau and I'm a huge fan of his stuff. His most prominent credit is probably House of Cards. But I know him from back in his Julliard/playwright days.

Also interesting that former Andor show-runner Stephen Schiff is credited with writing only one episode, and it's kinda in the middle of the run.

Directors -
Toby Haynes directed episodes 1, 2, 3, 8, 9, and 10.
Susanna White directed episodes 4, 5, and 6.
Benjamin Caron directed episodes 7, 11, and 12.

you're in good company, from what I've gleaned from fan reviews, etc., it's about 60 percent like it and 40 percent don't (re: Obi Wan).

On Andor, I am hoping to be pleasantly surprised - these guys have to remember that it's about quality not quantity $$$$

I expected Obi-Wan to blow, so I was satisfied with it. I don't give a shit about this show, so it should be awesome.
