Some of the Director choices are tasty.

Apparently The suit is taken directly from Lucas 1313 series concept art

Everyone is going to think this is a boba Fett thing

Every news outlet I saw when it was announced yesterday, went with a Boba Fett oic.

Weird they didn’t release this new pic with the statement.

So much of the spaghetti western is in the DNA of Star Wars. This looks like it's going to play heavily into that. This is going to be great.

I guess I’m with strat. The saga is where my heart is. The big stories.
I’m no way writing this off given the immense talents involved, it will probably be amazing.
But also it’s good right now to keep low key expectations on what it will be or how it will fit.

I watch Star Trek Discovery. Of course I'll watch this.

This is... unsurprising.

Only headache I can see incoming is the relentless mando fanbase complaining that it didn’t do _____ or it got ______ wrong.

Upshot is Favreau loves the Mandos and even did some voice work on Clone Wars or Rebels as well as Solo so he’ll keep it onboard.
And Filoni is right there too.

Hopefully this will be great.

Yea. I'm pretty much down for anything Star Wars, but doesn't Disney realize everybody fuckin' loves lightsabers and Force users?

Id be the same. But the set reports and coverage of it all on making Star Wars this week(on their pod especially) finally got me excited for this.

They don’t even know if this is a one season thing or first or a series. It’s exciting.

Well he back to Jedi and lightsabers and Jedi before we know it. Maybe for the last time. Maybe not.

I really, really, really, really, really, truly hope that this is what we get instead of a Boba Fett movie. I hope Boba Fett is a character in some way shape or form (not the lead, necessarily) and that we can finally get answers about whether or not he made it out of that pit in RotJ.

He made it out of the pit. Lucas always said as much.

Everyone is going on about the aftermath book or one of the comics, It has an interlude with the jawas scavenging the wreckage of jabbas sail barge and a massive hole in the ground and it suggests that boba laid a bomb in there and exploded his way out of the sarlaac but it went wrong and only his helmet is recovered by someone called cobb vanth. I haven’t been following this closely because I’m not interested in mandos(the thread title was even misspelled far ages and I didn’t even notice) but look up cobb vanth. This is who people are saying the Mandalorian is

*and I really hope they leave Fett totally out of this. He’s unnecessary. He’s also be mad old like hans age at this stage

Yeah, I'm up on all of that. Thanks, though.

I'm not sure that I think THIS Mandalorian is Cobb Vanth but I'm cool if it is. I just want official canon confirmation on Boba Fett. And I've always been a fan of the Boba Fett as Dread Pirate Roberts idea. I'm hoping this series does that. Again, if I was writing this, I'd have the titular Mandalorian be a new character. But I would have this cross paths with Boba Fett. I think that would be baller.
