Was decent enough. Carl Weathers directed it, so yeah. I agree with epilogue, too much of baby yoda is getting a little annoying. I did like the blue vomit though.
Here's how I see this all playing out:
We meet Ahsoka soon, but around the same time Moff Gideon tracks them down, and Bo-Katan appears again for the chase/battle for the child and the dark saber. Will probably cover 3 episodes, and not necessarily all in a row. They may put a filler episode in there. Then, hopefully a happy ending where baby yoda goes with Ahsoka, and she's off to her own show. Whether that covers her protecting the child or not remains to be seen. The very end of this season will be Boba Fett (ugh) confronting Mando about his armor, and that will be the cliffhanger. Next season will address Boba to some extent but also be about Mando exploring what his mandalorian roots really mean. I just don't see us getting a bunch of both Boba Fett and Ahsoka in the same season. I'm still not convinced we are getting much of Ahsoka more than a teaser in an episode or two, but we'll see.

We’re not done with boba but I wonder if that’ll be it for him this season.
Someone called Jordan Bolger is reporter to have been cast to play boba in a spin off series. So we’ll definitely see more of him to set that up I reckon.
I’d bet we’re getting a good bit of Ahsoka in this. None of the footage fron the final four episodes are in the trailer. So they’re gonna go big I’d say.

I think Dawson would be great casting. But given how poorly kept all the S2 secrets have been, I kinda hope that if Ahsoka does really show up that Dawson isn't playing her. Just to have a real actual surprise and watch the internet freak out.
Goddammit, Joey.

The scene in the classroom is an adorable distraction for the child, but if you listen carefully, you can get a very important lesson on galactic geography and politics. The droid calls out the old capital of the Republic, Coruscant, but also the current capital, Chandrila. Chandrila is Mon Mothma’s home world and was the first world chosen to host the capital on its new basis of rotating around the galaxy in a bid to fix the stagnation of the old Republic. The protocol droid teacher also calls out the Hydian Way, which has been an important hyperspace route in the Star Wars universe for a long time. First mentioned in canon in Star Wars: The Clone Wars, it’s been referenced repeatedly since then. The teacher also takes the kids through the geography of Kessel and the maelstrom there, as we learned about in Solo: A Star Wars Story.
Did the teacher have L3-37's voice?

Ahsoka can't take the Child. You can bitch about it being too cute all you want, but Disney would be flushing money down the toilet if they broke up this power couple.

OUTSTANDING episode...and this coming from someone that just started Clone Wars season 2 and has watched none of Rebels. I infer my head would be exploding were I caught up on those.

The descriptive audio on the episode says they are dark troopers (from the old Eu) that we see in the bays at the end. There’s two types of them. Super soldiers basically imbued with blood of a force user. So they’re gonna have to be dealt with.
If it makes you feel better, it's just as likely that this show has nothing to do with ST villain backstory at all.
It's likely that those humanoids in those tanks are not Snoke or Palps but rather just the soldiers that will eventually wear those Dark Trooper suits. Perhaps, they are members of a failed Trooper experiment, nothing more.
