The board's server will undergo upgrade maintenance tonight, Nov 5, 2014, beginning approximately around 10 PM ET. Prepare for some possible down time during this process.
So, they declared him NOT a Mandalorian, but they didn't take his armor or the dark saber? He just goes?
The only way to get the Dark Saber is through battle. They can't just take it. Why would they take his armor? That's not what makes a Mandalorian. Look no further than Boba Fett. Also, as far as that cult is concerned even Bo Katan isn't Mandalorian for the same reason that Din isn't.
They are extremists.
They don't have any control over Boba Fett and Bo Katan, but they could have told Djarin to turn in his armor.
They could tell him to take a shit in his helmet too but he wouldn't have to do it. Besides, why would they? Doesn't make any sense. The only authority they have over him is expel him from their covert.

You never know until you ask!
"You are no longer Mandalorian and are no longer worthy of that armor."
"Fuck you. I'm leaving. Try to stop me."
I would have liked that.

Because he has a chance at redemption.
This is the way
He has to bathe in water that doesn't exist, doesn't he?
I took it as they aren’t really sure it doesn’t exist. That’s what they have been told but they haven’t been back to mandalore to know for sure. I’m assuming that’s what season 3 will be all about

One thing I found interesting about yesterday's Mando episode via Boba Fett;
With Din still having the dark saber, I wonder what the exchange was with him and Bo after the end of last season? And will they address it? Bo clearly wanted to earn the Dark Saber the "proper" way. So when she found out he had acquired it, did she fight him for it and he won? Or did they come to some kind of agreement? Will be interesting to see if they address this aspect at all in season 3.

I agree. Good call. That was on my mind, too. I fully expect it to be addressed at some point. My guess is that Bo Katan let him leave without a challenge given the circumstances. And that a time will come -- a proper time -- when she's ready and thinks it's fair/necessary to challenge him.

Great point ruddo
I wondered about this. Bo told him last season that the founder and don’t take off the helmet was extremist/terrorist bullshit and that is not the way of mandalore. This stands with everything we know of mandalore and the helmet staying on thing is obvious BS cos we’ve all seen clone wars. Now we have him being told Bo Is the extremist
But why did he seek the founderer/metal worker out and why was he so submissive and obsequious to her?
I reckon you’re right and din and bo parted on bad terms. Over the dark saber. Why else Would he be back out just hunting bounties?

So it turns out the composer of the theme tune literally lifted an entire song from the pippy longstocking movie in 1981, and replicated it for the boba series. It’s the same exact song just redone.
