Rank The Star Wars Movies

Fri December 15, 2017 9:07 am

In this thread we can rank and discuss the ranking of Star Wars movies.

1. The Empire Strikes Back
2. Star Wars - A New Hope
3. Return Of The Jedi
4. Rogue One
5. Revenge Of The Sith
6. The Force Awakens
7. The Last Jedi
8. The Phantom Menace
9. Attack Of The Clones

I really like the Clone Wars series, and if included it's challenging for a place in the top five.

There are things I liked better about TPM and AOTC than TLJ, but I could also say the opposite. Will give TLJ the benefit of the doubt now, since it's fresh in my mind, and I had a good time in the cinema yesterday.

1. Empire Strikes Back
2. New Hope
3. RotJ
4. Force Awakens
5. Revenge of the Sith
6. Rogue One
7. Phantom Menace
8. Attack of the Clones

Haven't watched TLJ yet, but guessing it'll beat the bottom 4.

well, I'll be damned. I don't think we had one for this.

1. A New Hope
2/3. Empire/The Force Awakens

(Last Jedi will be somewhere in the 1-4 range, I suspect)

(mild drop)

5/6. Return of the Jedi/Rogue One

(HUGE DROP)

7. Revenge of the Sith
8. Phantom Menace
9. Attack of the Clones

What if you had to decide on a simple ranking, instead of a split one?

2. Last Jedi
3. The Force Awakens
4. Empire
5. Rogue One
6. Return of the Jedi
7. Revenge of the Sith
8. Phantom Menace
9. Attack of the Clones

My eyes are bleeding in sympathy for Empire, but thank you. :)

1-4 are all very close. Each of those movies (really 1-6) all have moments that are among my favorite Star Wars things.

I do wonder how people will look at the sequel trilogy once all of it is out, and no longer the new thing in the cinema and on blu ray.
