I wrote this post months ago and saved it. Now's a good time to celebrate and admit the fact that Star Wars is complete utter garbage without the outstanding work of John Williams inhabiting it at a molecular level and a mystical one. The music Williams created for Star Wars gives it its life and explodes it from bad comic book adaptation into sweeping grand scale cinema and storytelling.
Would we have loved Star Wars had it been soundtracked by a 1970s version of futuristic techno music? No. We wouldn't.
Here's my list top of my head.
Subject to constant change
Star Wars main theme and can make me cry in the cinema watching a new film so is obviously king so I'm leaving it out.
My picks.
Yodas theme
The Jedi steps
Rey's theme
Leias theme
Binary sunset
Han Solo and the princess
Finale Empire strikes Back
Ewoks Parade
Imperial march/Vaders theme
Duel of the fates
Throw yours in. You'll probably have to research a bit but I have to as well.
