So far none of these sequels had lived up to the OT, while blowing the prequels out of the water. I had way more fun at Rogue One and Solo. Of course I’ll see this and probably enjoy it well enough, but I’m more excited for all the new Disney+ stuff.
My favorite character in the SW world is Kyle Ren, and my favorite scenes took part at the Cantina, and then probably Dagobah. But it’s the expanded world, the non-Skywalker stuff, that I’m mostly interested in.
Edit: ok my favorite characterS are Han+Chewie. Then Kyle.

I liked Star Wars on a pretty basic and pedestrian level as a kid. I didn't truly fall in love with Star Wars until The Force Awakens. So, for me, this new trilogy far exceeds all that came before. The sequel trilogy is "my Star Wars" for sure. It's given me so much. That and the animated stuff. The Clone Wars and Rebels are outstanding. Ahsoka is my favorite Star Wars character.
But I totally get that I'm in the minority here, especially for someone my age. And I agree that Kylo Ren is a great character. He's one of my favorites as well. I think that's partly why I'm not as opposed to his "redemption" as many others are. I still think it would be cool to see him willfully embrace the darkness and actively fight redemption and the light. But if he turns, I'll probably be fine with it. It all depends on how it's done.

That’s amazing joe. Never occurred to me there’s be folk your age that would come to these new films as their Star Wars. You’d always assume we always loved it. Great to hear.
