I don't think the fact that he's worked in the industry rules out that it was also spontaneous and happened totally by chance.

Someone unearthed a post he made in the 10C Facebook group last year wearing that same shirt, talking about how much he loves Matt Cameron.

If he was a deliberate plant, they were really playing the long game.

Great version of Jeremy.

I'm finally listening to this and man....the most I've liked RITFW in....forever? I don't know. I've always had Matt cameron as my least favorite PJ member and it's so refreshing to hear a different sound?

Not for me.

They’re better than 2008-2010, but Brett Eliason is very missed.

Went to the 5/12 show.

They were great as always.

Highlights were "Black" and "Lukin". They had never done those for me live before.

Cameron was sick with Covid, so they had Josh Klinghoffer and Richard Stuverud on drums, depending on the track. For "Yellow Ledbetter", they had a fan from the audience drum. He had the names of all of the past Pearl Jam drummers on a shirt, too.

Setlist:

Pre-set
1) The Needle and the Damage Done (Neil Young cover) (Eddie solo; first performance since 2016)
2) I Won't Back Down (Tom Petty cover) (Eddie solo)
Main Set
3) Rockin' in the Free World (Neil Young cover) (Tour debut)
4) Elderly Woman Behind the Counter in a Small Town
5) Why Go
6) Corduroy
7) Quick Escape
8) Superblood Wolfmoon
9) Nothingman
10) Even Flow
11) Given to Fly
12) Wishlist
13) Black
14) Do the Evolution
15) Daughter (The Stills-Young Band’s Long May You Run tag)
16) Not for You (Sleater-Kinney's Modern Girl as outro)
17) Seven O'Clock
18) Jeremy
19) Porch
Encore:
20) You've Got to Hide Your Love Away (The Beatles cover) (first performance since 2016)
21) Better Man
22) Lukin
23) Animal (Tour debut)

24) Alive
25) Baba O'Riley (The Who cover) (Tour debut)
26) Yellow Ledbetter (with a fan “Josh Arroyo” on drums)
Note: Matt Cameron was absent due to COVID-19. Josh Klinghoffer (3-6, 11-16, 21) and Richard Stuverud (7-10, 17-19, 22-25) filled in on drums.
