i could see myself going to an outdoor show middle to late next year but i probably wouldnt want to be at the first bball arena show even after the vaccine
dont want to be one of the ones to find out the vaccine is only good for strain A and unfortunately some of the 22,000 people there brought strains B, C, and D

I’ll be honest, if they don’t cancel the euro dates then it becomes fair to question whether this was a political statement and not about safety.
It's a fair question to ask, there wasn't any "concern" when Ed's wife went to India just last week.
Did you really just compare one persons travel to that of 20,000 people descending on a city for a concert?
Lowlight, c'mon on man.
Let's get real here, it's a virus, that most people ARE recovering from, there are hard hit areas in the world, but it's not a plague. Speaking as someone who has two parents in nursing home currently. I have plenty of reason to worry, but it's not much different from any other virus other there right now. It does affect a certain age groups more than others and people should take precautions. But postponing a tour for it, it's ridiculous.
We're all disappointed, man. But you seem to be taking this personally.
I don't see the point of giving into the hysteria, and yeah, it is affecting me personally based on my family. I didn't even have tickets to any shows, the postponement does allow me to hopefully get to a show when they get rescheduled sometime in 2025.

I remember being critical of lowlight at the time, but in hindsight I think it's worth cutting him some slack--Pearl Jam was one of the first tours/events to cancel, if memory serves, and it was before most states locked down, before schools closed, before death rates skyrocketed in March/April. The band's decision was obviously the right one knowing what we know now, but I genuinely think most of us thought those dates were going to be rescheduled for the late summer/fall when the postponement was first announced.

True. Plus, the idea of a shutdown at this scale was unprecedented.

That's a very US-centric perspective. COVID had already ravaged China and Italy and was making its way through Europe. The decision was made not due to "hysteria" (as lowlight claimed), but due to facts. It's idiots like this who think they know more than doctors, scientists, epidemiologists, and public health experts who've got this country to a place where 210,000 people have died in less than 7 months.

I disagree. You don't get a pass for saying stupid things - especially when you don't know what you're talking about but pretend you do. If you're a scientist, doctor, epidemiologists, public health expert or in a related field - have at it. Otherwise, people should shut the hell up and stay in their lane.

Wonder if there is a game plan for how long they will hold people's money for tickets. We have crossed nine months since the on-sale date and really no eta for these shows. Is there a gameplan for a refund at some point to cut bait or just hold steady and it takes however long it takes?

There's DEFINITELY a game plan. Hold everyone's money until some outside force stops us from holding everyone's money.

Do they have to pay interest at some point?
