Last show of the tour proper and such a fun one. Genuinely funny stories from Ed. Never seen him this relaxed and in such good mood onstage. He’s getting better at singing. The visuals on the screen were just beautiful and really worked. Hope there’s a live dvd coming.
Looks standard enough but just brilliant in the room. Crowd were on point all night and red limo really being something extra to proceedings. Can’t wait to hear the boot.

He’s got better control of it and stronger. Imo improving each of the three times ive seen him over the past three years. YouTube clips obviously don’t convey that but last nights boot will surprise a lot of you if it’s decided to be shared.
I know we’re not allowed have a contrary opinion to the group think / schtick(?) about Ed and Pj here but few if any of you have even seen any shows this tour so...

I’m not alone it seems ‘opening of new song ‘Cross The River’. The years since he hollered “I’m still alive” from the ramparts have certainly changed Vedder’s voice, but what’s clear tonight is that it lacks nothing of the power and potency it’s always had. If anything, now lower and more controlled, it’s an instrument he’s grown into.’

Another excellent night great song selection, red limo really add to the songs particularly when doing the intros. even flow was brilliant the energy in the room was spectacular up there with the 2017 Jeremy.
The Auld Triangle seemed cheesy when they started but the alternative lyrics added a nice touch. The Queen cover was extremely odd but enjoyable in a strange way.
Merch queue was a nightmare lads walking out with 4 and 5 posters leaving me short was my only issue.

I'm sorry dime, the lure of the low-hanging fruit was just too strong.
I do wish I felt the same about Ed's voice, there's plenty of singers I like who don't sound like they did in their 20s but have found a new expressiveness in their instrument as it's changed with age.
Perhaps it's harder to judge with Ed as he just isn't doing that much. A few short tours every few years (nowhere near me) but no original recorded music in years.

You should check out the song posted in the 11th album speculation thread. Be interested to hear your thoughts

Some pretty strong views about EV, the content of his show with Glen and alleged overall lack of self awareness over on the Stepford wives forum has just been pulled by Pravda.
Some decent points made by the ‘troll’ but also a couple of shite ones. Would make for interesting debate if it were allowed.
A shell of what he and they made their reputation and millions from. For shame. That dirty, menacing and protective machine sat behind them is clearly still doing the job well. What a contradiction.
I would rather listen to a Pearl Jam or Temple Of The Dog show, but it’s a free world. If he paid €230 for two tickets, he can complain about it being expensive, and EV being stale, but from everything he writes, it sounds like he knew exactly what he was getting.

Agreed. It’s a free world but he’s entitled to voice his opinion despite a clear misalignment in expectation.
What grates is what I raised in my previous post. It’s fucking outrageous this persons point of view was censored by people clinging to a soon to be erased career (ten club staff)
