The board's server will undergo upgrade maintenance tonight, Nov 5, 2014, beginning approximately around 10 PM ET. Prepare for some possible down time during this process.
If anyone is curious, here's a video of In My Tree from last night. After the intro sounds like they went into the beginning of Why Go or something? What the fuck happened?
jhard to tell from that video. its either the jamily screaming and making noises, or mike mccready doing something weird on his guitar. But nothing is really that out of place here?
Sounds weirder than I have ever heard, and by that I mean sounds like someone was playing a different song. Also, notice Ed running over to Stone. Perhaps Stone fucked up, and that's why the two weren't getting along last night.
really?
Yeah, that was the big story from last night's show (kidding, of course). Stone said fuck it and left the stage before the group photo op at the very end.
Plot twist: Fenway 1 will be the final show. This is why we suspect Fenway 2 will be the final Pearl Jam show
so wait, what's the full story here?
it's nothing.
i found a video of the end of the show.
The usual Ed v Stone bs. But eventually Stone will give up.

yeah, once he realizes he can't pull in $250,000 for a solo show

Wait a sec...I just reread most of this entire thread. Did no one post that video of the periscoper getting in a fight in the GA pit last night during MYM? It was posted to reddit last night and was fucking hilarious. Deleted now though.
Yes he sounded good in that vid, but in general he is insanely sloppy. Pearl Jam is a great live band in their heyday because of their energy, because of Eddie Vedder, and because of their non-matt-cameron drummers. Even in that vid, the part at 1:37 is insanely sloppy, and then Mike sounds bad afterwards too.
They're just very rarely a tight band. Sometimes they are on and they sound great, but a lot of times they sound horrible. I remember my shock when I first heard a bootleg of yellow ledbetter live. Im used to the live versions now but compared to the studio version it always sounds hoooooorrible (I know that one's on Mike). And then there's the end of Present Tense where Eddie frequently just plays the complete wrong notes, and then Baba O Riley is another one I've used to but the first time I heard it played live I was appalled at how horrible it sounded. Again, probably Mike's fault, but Mike tends to have a lot of great performances too
