I don't know if anyone can help with this, but I'll throw a Hail Mary.

I have a 7G video of a play my kid was in. I'm trying to put it on the 1Tb external drive I use for photos and videos. I have over 500G of free space, but the computer (2 computers actually) keeps telling me that there is not enough space on the destination drive for the video.

What the fuck is going on?

The one thing that comes to mind is drive formatting. Certain formats don't allow files larger than 6GB or something like that.

That's the one I was thinking of. The thing is, B's computers probably aren't formatted thaf way, fight? Or are you trying to transfer directly to an external hard drive, B?

Edit: misread B's post.

You can split the video in Windows if you don't have Premiere Pro or something.

Just use the shitty little "Movie & TV" app --> Edit --> Trim --> Save As.
