The East Troy 2000 version of Porch includes an "It's OK" tag, which I ended up not being a big fan of, but I think it fits the topic (Porch starts at about one hour and fifteen minutes into this video):

Before it became a full part of their repertoire, they did unique and odd versions of Crazy Mary. For example 7/7/98.

Betterman with Romanza intro has always been one of my favs, although I know it was performed many times in 2000

I'd never heard that one before, or if I had, it's been a while. Sounds more like they tagged the "take a bottle..." part of CM and tagged it onto an improv.

You are right. It's more of an improv (or unfinished song) that goes into an abbreviated Crazy Mary.

There are a few performances of "Red Mosquito" from 2003 that have Boom keyboard solos in place of Mike's leads. These always struck me as utterly bizarre. I think they really thought they were onto something special with Boom on that first tour; they gave him a lot of weird spotlight moments that have since been revoked.

I picked this version of Porch and the Dublin version of Go for my Live On 3 Legs compilation from a few years ago :nice:

Boston Garden 1994, Ed plays guitar on Porch starting in the break and finishing out the tune.

ACL 09´s Mountain Song with Perry was unexpected and weird and at the same it was incredible. Stone and Jeff were so fuckin in..it was beautiful.

I saw it live so thats why its a top 5 pj moment for me.

F'ing love the Mountain Song cover

Another super weird moment for me was the Santa Barbara Bowl 2003 show (probably the favorite show I've attended) They brought out Jack, and played In My Tree, and it was the reworked fuck-off 2003 version. Sad!
