I assume the vocal distortion does not occur on these. Can anyone confirm?

I had a quick listen to samples from both shows, I think we're safe.

Not that a short sample is much to go on but the band and boots seem to sound great, I'm quite looking forward to making my way through these shows.

With my luck they're going to treat the fenway shows as a celebration after a tour well done and get too fucked up to play well.

I'm sure you'll enjoy Fenway as much as you enjoyed the last PJ celebration type concert that you attended. ;)

They should sell an empty cardboard sleeve for Raleigh and donate the proceeds.

WMA sounds a LOT better now than it did in 2008 :nice:

Listening to the Miami boot and afraid to say there appears to be some issues with Ed's vocals on at least a few songs. Not as bad as the SA 2015 boots, but still noticeable, especially on Tremor Christ :(

No kidding, I have Miami on right now and the distortion is clearly apparent even throughout Corduroy (the opening song).

What the hell, seriously. Is the "inconsistent power source" of, er, Florida to blame this time? Amateur hour down there. They can't keep charging people for these when they have serious audio issues.

Bummer, I was looking forward to picking up a couple shows. Hopefully it's not in every show.

From what I've heard so far, I agree with ridley that it's not as bad as the 2015 shows, but it's certainly there.

Yikes! WTF is wrong with them? Is Brett still doing these? Possible low point?

I believe the mixes are still being done by Brett, they still sound like his work and sound really good apart from that glaring problem.

The issue has to be occurring at the recording stage, something's seriously amiss with their set-up if they keep getting that distortion on Ed's vocal mic only. Though it's never happened before, I can kind of understand if it were isolated to the South American shows - maybe they changed something in the recording chain and nobody picked up on the issue until after the fact when it was too late. But to have the exact same problem again on the next tour, when they were well aware it happened last time, is just baffling.

Could this be happening because instead of hiring a real crew, they have been using the same people for 25 years?

It sucks, but it still sounds good.

So many mike swaps during the shows. Wired. A different wired. Wireless. Different wired.

If this call-and-response and chatting continues through the middle of Corduroy throughout the tour, it may become a skippable song for me.
