The board's server will undergo upgrade maintenance tonight, Nov 5, 2014, beginning approximately around 10 PM ET. Prepare for some possible down time during this process.
Thank god we got hide your love away instead of No More
dodged that bullet
It's a little early in the morning for this level of dark humor, but I gotta give it to you on that post. 7/10.

love the breath > SOLAT combo. bit of a call back to the second msg show in 98.. "same record, different track"
and being at the last few shows reminded me that there's a lot more to a show than just a setlist. it's cliche to say, i know, but the energy in the building the last couple of nights was tremendous. had a great time.

I'm at the point after 25 years that I don't really consider Last Kiss, Sonic Reducer, or Hide Your Love Away covers. Honestly I don't think I'd throw Baba or RITFW into that category either. They are staples that pearl jam happened not to write, but they feel just as organic as hearing Once or Nothingman or In hiding.
Surrender and Driven to Tears were covers in the sense I usually think of the word (at least in terms of the designation having significance in the context of the show)
Heard a first timer on the way out: "Does he always talk that much between songs? All the politics..."
If I remember correctly there wasn't that many instances of talking, but the ones there were were particularly rambly.
Agreed. Too bad this first timer didn't see Ed in 2003.
Anyway, despite this not being my favorite set, the energy of the band and the audience made the show a really good time. They sounded so much better than 2013 as well.

Agreed. All the cover talk is overblown. They've made most of those covers their own through the years.
But I'd certainly like them to come up with a few new cover "staples" to add to the mix. Maybe "Jesus is Just Alright With Me" is next.
Too much ten for me over the past two shows. One thought I had was "if the hand doesn't respect their newer material, then why should I?"
The encores were fantastic. Really a couple of the better latter day shows I've seen. Being in the building is really special but I just wish they would play some of their better material. Surprised they relied so heavily on ten and vs over two nights in NYC.
Waved at Stip! He seemed to be enjoying himself.
They could have left after surrender and I would have felt satisfied. They really were on fire
You don't recognize that person from every single shot of the rail since GA started?

They could never pull off the harmonies required to make that one super-cool.

Crazy thing is Im reading the fanviews on the pearljam.com forums and people seem disappointed stating night 1 is better, while people here seem satisfied. Whats going on? O__O
