Yes, though I don't necessarily agree with adamdude that Matt's playing has any huge effect on the way they're playing it.

He's playing Ed's guitar and isn't particularly loud in the mix, it's mainly Stone who's driving things along:

That jammed.

Who was the sax player? Totally dug it.
Was that band wives and kids on stage?
Who was the guy in the purple toboggan playing the Les Paul?
What was the team Gleason thing all about?

Man, playing behind the beat has never been so sexy.

That was super nice to listen to. Chad smith knows how to open up a song.

Who was the guy Mike gave his guitar too?

Did he give it to him? I thought Mike was still playing while that guy was too.

Geez, Steve Gleason could at least pretend to be into it

Just listened/watched, this was great!

I haven't listened or watched any other performances of this song besides this one, but why the hell am I seeing people complain about this song in other threads? This, again, sounds fuckin' great!

I've been given a hard time for being the person to post something sophomoric here and there ... we are all thinking it, but I post it, and get ridiculed.

This is not one of those times. That was one fucking hell of a shit post.

PS - I just listened to this RITFW on low volume in the background on my PC, not watching the video just listening, and nothing about the drums stood out to me.

:shake:
Chad's playing behind the beat, not pushing it like Matt does. It's all about the feel.

And he brings the song different dynamics by opening the high hat and moving to the rode cymbals at the appropriate times.

Matt's hi-hat work with PJ is often abysmal.
