The bootlegs sounds like they have more air to breath IMHO. Ed sounds more up front and you can definitely hear the venue's take on the bootleg.

that's because they're lossless live recordings instead of lossy

I looked at a bunch of these shows...is there enough here to create another Cinderellas?

Where in 2005, Corin Tucker singing RITFW was truly terrifying. In 2015, it just makes you want to drive off the road if stuck in Traffic.

I could listen to Corin Tucker sing the phone book and enjoy the hell out of it.

I appreciate that whoever is doing the tagging of the 2005 files is coming very close to my own file naming conventions, eg. 'State of Love and Trust' not 'State Of Love And Trust' and lowercase lettering for the encore breaks - though I encase them in brackets, eg. '(encore break 1)'.

I still rename every 'Elderly Woman Behind the Counter in a Small Town' to simply 'Small Town' (that's what I've used for years and I'm not going to change it now) and alter every album title to: year.month.day City, Country (or state abbreviation when in the USA).

ETree naming standard or gtfo.

Despite it being wrong, one of my naming quirks is having to rename Better Man as Betterman for every show I copy/download. The 2003 bootlegs used the one word title, and I've stubbornly stuck with that ever since.

Ha, that's one of my pet peeves! I always rename it to "Better Man".

I'll admit I'm the same with RVM, however. I think the correct title is "Rearview Mirror" but, for the sake of consistency, I've always stuck with "Rearviewmirror".

Naming conventions be damned. I stick with the official name of the songs accept with Elderly Woman........... I call that Small Town. yyyy-mm-dd, City and then each disc in sub-folder called Disc 1, Disc 2 and then Discnumber-tracknumber - Song title.

It works for me. No one I have ever traded with has complained but I know there is a diverse view on naming conventions so I wouldn't take it personally anyways. Different things work for different people.

"Encore Break 1"

That's how I label spenno!

Ok, so I listened to toronto today as I prepare to put this canadian mix project together. 26 year old lowlight79 thought bonobos on RITFW was awesome, 36 year old lowlight79, no so much. On to Edmonton!

The thing I can't understand is how are the live recordings still being released with sector boundry errors for burning to cd. If people that play with recordings for a hobby can do it right, there is not much excuse for proffessionals not to.

It is quite sad. So simple to address but that's the digital world for ya nowadays. To be for clean sources for cd burning/ripping is antiquated to the majority it seems. I spent years just learning the basics of this stuff and it makes a world of difference. It's like quality is no longer that important. I am a novice and even I scratch my head at what is being released.
