My list is small, but there should be 4 here. Thanks, HB2!! I should've followed my instincts and went to Hampton and Lexington, but that's a long story.... :? I'll go by myself from now on.

San Diego 2006 - I had a headache throughout the Vegas show the previous night and much of the day while driving to California. Ed had sounded sick and terrible in the desert. I showed up feeling better with without great expectations, but this show blew me away.

Denver 98 - Just such a solid set, never seemed to lag, left everyone wanting more. I was just down the row from the guys with the huge "Patriot Please" sign that led to the second encore. Underrated show since that tour is so full of great performances.

Las Vegas 2003 - One of my favorite posters. The second encore (all covers) is rough, but the main set is really solid. Love the Go opener.

Phoenix 2000 - The 3 shows I saw on this tour are all pretty close, but this one was my favorite. Second show in 3 nights on an odd rainy and cool night in Phoenix.

Phoenix 2013 - saw this show with a good friend who had never seen them before. Kind of uneven, as a show of this length is likely to be, but had some real highlights and cool moments. The GA was good. First time I saw Release and it wasn't even the opener!

Albuquerque 2000 - Weird venue and windy so the sound was weird. Probably a better performance than Phoenix the following night, but I prefer that setlist.

Red Rocks II 1995 - This is all about the actual vibe that night. A classic, great bootleg to listen to, but ... just a weird show to attend. Within the first six songs (while they were sitting) they played a never before played cover (Ship Song) and a new song (Falling Down) plus a radically different version of Jeremy. It picked up later but never really found a groove. This was my first Pearl Jam show and though they had a good reputation as a live band even then, I was not convinced until I saw them again 3 years later.

Las Vegas 2000 - Strange vibe in the crowd. Third show in three nights for me (and the band). The expectations were way high and then ... it was basically your standard 2000 show throughout the main set. Crown of Thorns was super cool, but otherwise most everything about this show just felt like an anticlimax.

San Diego 2009 - This show peaked in the opening act when Ed did Under Pressure (one of my favorite songs) with Ben Harper. Great moment but it's rough when a show peaks in the opening act. Red Mosquito with Harper was really the only other highlight that comes to mind.

Las Vegas 2006 - As noted previously, I didn't feel great during this show, which didn't help. I got my ticket from someone who had two tickets on the floor and though he met me at MGM to deliver the ticket a few hours before the show, he ended up late for the show itself. The night opened with Inside Job > Corduroy and this guy asked me several times what I thought of the Corduroy opener. He flat did not believe me that they opened with Inside Job. This show is OK on the bootleg but just never really grabbed me or had a moment that transported me. Little Sister is a pretty awful cover.

I also saw Ed solo in Phoenix in 2012. Hard to slot that with full band performances but it would probably be in the top third. That was a cool night.

san diego 06 is so good that you don't realize a third of the show is avocado songs.

On the other hand, no Backspacer or Lightning Bolt.

I remember the Go > Save You > STBC opening run was skull-crushing. Really interesting setlist all-around. Also my 1 & only time seeing Breath

I have this poster framed, and have been trying to get rid of it for years. No takers.

Brooklyn 2 2013 - SUCH AN EPIC SHOW
MSG 2 2016 - Really great show, with Cheap Trick, Sting, and an amazing Encore 1.
Brooklyn 1 2013 - Solid but completely outshined by night 2
MSG 1 2016 - Idk just wasn't feeling it
Global Citizen Festival 2015 - Too short but they sounded good

Hope Fenway 1 2018 tops them <_<

Let's talk.

I remember being so wrecked at that show. Was the end of a looooong week where I went Shoreline > Irvine x2 > San Diego > Vegas. Oh, to be 21 again.

Very hard to put any order, but here we go. 23 shows + 2 EV solo not counted in. Top 5 would look something like this:

1/ Kitchener 05
I was 21 & flew on my own to Canada to see my first show after waiting for what felt like forever since the disaster + cancellation in 2000. Nothing beats the feeling I had that night. Absolutely nothing.

2/ Amsterdam II 12
That setlist, the venue which I've grown to love along with the band.

3/ Ottawa 05
Amazing night.

4/ Copenhagen 07
First time in Denmark since. Knew I had to be there. What an emotional rollercoaster after spending the rest of the stay there pretty drunk with some used to be famous RM'ers.

5/ Arras 12
After seeing 2 Amsterdam shows a few days earlier, I wasn't planning to attend this one. But that morning was my grandfather's funeral & after coming home alone in the afternoon after the service, I decided I needed to be outside & be there, venue is an hour away, wasn't sold out & scored a cheap ticket just as I arrived. Release was not on the original setlist, but added anyway as the opener. I broke down & got up again when Given to Fly/Breath opened the encore.

-> I'm much more a sentiment kind a guy. Maybe other shows I saw had better performances, crowds, ... But the feeling I had at these 5 puts them on top.

MM here we go:

25-11-2005 BUENOS AIRES : My first PJ show and a very good show from and awesome show..Breakerfall and Rvm were special highlights.
2009 ACL : amazing night, the band was in high spirits, Mountain Song with Perry Farrell, Red Mosquito with Ben Harper..Ed was awesome and Gossard really rocked out.

ALPINE VALLEY 2011 PJ20 NIGHT 2: What can i say! Temple of the dog, An amazing setlist, the whole day was a dream. Ed sang with Glen and John Doe, Mudhoney, Qotsa...ahh, the memories.

PADOVA 2018: I was blown away...i was a little nervous about a cancelation. And it was just an amazing night. Eddie sounded incredible and Mike was on fire.

ALPINE VALLEY 2011 PJ20 NIGHT 1: A great night even if the band was nervous. The day was a little weird with the rain and stuff. But it was intense..and temple of the fucking dog!

CHILE 2013: such a great show. Its a good to travel to lolla chile, two great nights and the tandem Release-Go was amazing. The band sounded tight and better than Buenos aires.

BUENOS AIRES 2015 : Awesome, awesome show..Pendulum was great, the mood was good, Sirens and LB sounded cool too.

BUENOS AIRES 2011: For a lot of people this was the best PJ show in Arg. It was very intense but i just came from PJ20 so i kinda off that night.

BUENOS AIRES 2013: A weird night. Its rained the previous day so the whole place was mudded. I went alone, first PJ show without my ex gf...weird night.

26-11-2005 BUENOS AIRES: It was kinda of a sloppy mess...they opened with MFC and played a few good gems but it was significantly worst than night 1.

I haven't listened to some of these boots in ages, so this based on memory alone...

1. KC (Bonner Springs, KS) 2003 - My first show. Really unique setlist. Several RA songs played. Best version of Release ever.
2. St. Louis 2004 (VFC) - Gorgeous venue. Great setlist. Wish there was a better recording available.
3. Lincoln 2014 - Great setlist. Had an absolute blast with my dad.
4. Council Bluffs 2003
5. Chicago - Wrigley Night One 2018 - recency bias here
6. St. Louis 2014
7. KC 2010
8. Chicago Night Two 2006
9. Chicago Night One 2006
10. St. Louis 2010

MSG 03 night 1 -While the DVD may not translate it well, this show was absolutely incredible. There was some sort of magic in the air that night. Great, great show.

MSG 10 night 2- Great show. The band was loose and having fun. Despite 6 Backspacer songs, this show is about as good as it gets post 2005.

Boston 04 night 2 - Short but focused show to help kick off the VFC tour. Go -> Animal to start. Alone and I've got a feeling for the first time in 10 years. Parting Ways.

MSG 03 night 2- This show is almost just as good as the night before but doesn't have the same magic. Crazy Mary to start the night was interesting but actually worked. I don't ever need to hear it again though.

Hartford 08- After two somewhat disappointing shows at MSG, this show on a Friday night was packed with rarely played songs and it was fun.

Nassau 03- First show- Long Road -> RVM - > was an awesome way to start the show. Looking back I guess the Bushleauger moment was cool, but it cut the show short.

Beacon 08- cool to see them in a small place. Undone and Light Years were great.

Hartford 13- Great energy. Chloe/Crown was awesome. Aint talking bout love was fun.

MSG 08 night 2- I won the 10c lottery and had 9th row seats. Release, Black Diamond are about the only songs I go back and listen to. The 2008 shows were weird.

Newark 10- Bought 4 row tickets the day of the show for face off of TM. First set full of rarities. Of the girl -> Brain of J. Brother were cool.

Izod 06 night 2- I really can only remember the power outage and HTI.

PNC 03- WASH, playing all of the songs in the order of the albums for the first set was cool. The bruce cover was fun too. Corrin Tucker ruined the second encore.

MSG 10 night 1- Just kind of blah. I like the Insignificance a lot though.

Montreal 05- Sad, Trouble, and Light Years were highlights for me.

Izod 06 night 1- Not much to see here.

Boston 04 night 1- Warm up show with not much spark.

MSG 08 night 1- Proof that a long show doesn't mean good show.

Boston 16 Night 1- I just can't get into these Stadium shows. Also, Just Breathe and Sirens are the worst.

Worcester 13 night 2- Wish Ed didn't screw up the words to Otherside. Smile is always cool.

DC 04- VFC finale. Only 5 songs but was cool to see Ed join REM

Hartford 06- Cold for May and the band wanted to get it over with. The live debut of I'm Open.

Funny, I really enjoy the Hartford ‘06 show; some of the best versions of the S/T songs they ever played and a great performance across the board.

I like this one a lot too. Great "Sleight of Hand." Some of those US shows from early in the year were kind of patchy but this one hits the spot for me.
