My buddy lived in Sydney for a year but help me with your weather there. Like was it hot as fuck these shows or nice out?

40 degrees in the baking sun at Adelaide earlier this year, that's 104 for you guys (I think).

Damn. I endured 95+ twice. I can't imagine 104.

For someone who hates the heat, it wasn't a fun time.

Here's hoping they finally play indoors again next time around (and that it's sooner than 4 or 5 years away).

It was 44C/111F at the Sydney 2009 show with Liam Finn and Ben Harper - absolutely brutal day. I sweat so much I didn't need a piss-break for the whole 5 hours (despite drinking heaps of water).

Us Aussies really deserve a proper arena tour after only BDO and stadium shows since 2006.

About as much as us Kiwi's deserve a dedicated tour over here for being forgotten about between 98-2011

My point wasn't that length makes a show epic, but '98 Chicago was one of their longer shows to that point and now it would be considered short. It might help that this is a 3 week tour whereas '98 they had to "pace themselves". That was a long tour.

You're very right though. If the setlist for Chicago 98 was a 2014 setlist, a lot of people would instantly write it off as being a lesser show than these three-plus hour affairs.

If the band can play South America in 2011 and 2013 and Europe basically annually, it is kind of disappointing that we only saw a (relatively minimal) stadium tour in 2009 followed by a run of festival dates in 2014.

Touché! Three shows in 16 years is pretty disappointing when you consider Berlin is almost as far from Seattle and has gotten 5 in 5 years.

You'd think the surf and (until recently) strong Aussie dollar would be more enticing :(

Ed had played here twice in 3 years.

Surely a 15 date tour of Japan, Aust and NZ arena shows couldn't be hard to throw together.

Ha. Almost the same thing happened to me with the couple I got my ticket from. They were all cool-nice-to-meet-you until they asked about my username on the pit and I said "oh, I usually don't post there. I'm more on RM..." and that was the end of that budding friendship. Still got that ticket though.

Is there some rivalry with the 10c board and RM that I'm not aware of?

FUCK the pit

An interesting thought which has crossed my mind once or twice.

Justification = Whatever else I could have spent that money on would be boring in comparison.

Plus I'm not a dick when it comes to PJ tix and have never sold extras above face.

You could have gotten a pretty sweet ZJ for that money.

There have been a handful of times I have had extra tickets to concerts or sporting events and I have sold them for face value. Anything above just feels sleazy to me.

This Milwaukee thread is giving Moline a run for its money.

In fact, did you know it is pronounced mee-lee-wah-kay which is Algonquin for "the good land"?

I'm a regular visitor here, but Milwaukee has certainly had its share of visitors.

I like how the author uses the word Concert rather than Show.

I have never understood music fans of this is day and age shunning the word Concert.
